My Journal of Fantasy
This is a collection of information I have gathered on creatures and things in legends and lore.
Feathers
They are beautiful and light and so much fun, unless you are allergic to them. Today we will take a look at feathers.

Native American chiefs wore feathers to symbolize communication with Spirit and to express celestial wisdom. They also represented the power of the thunder god and the power of wind and air. Celtic druids would wear feathered robes to invoke sky gods and to gain knowledge of the celestial realm. In Egypt the god of justice, Ma'at, would weigh souls against feathers to determine the worth of the soul. In Christianity feathers are a symbol of virtues. One common superstition deals with peacock feathers. They are thought to be unlucky do to the spot on them. This spot is associated with the evil eye. But in some countries the opposite is true. The feathers are thought to be protective.
