Custom Final Fantasy D&D Races/Classes
Here is where I'll be slowly updating different aspects of my idea for a Final Fantasy universe-based Dungeons and Dragons game.

I want people to get a good look at what I have here, and I want to here feedback as far as criticism. I want to make the most thoroughly balanced, yet fun to play game, and I've got my buddies to help me.



Classes:

Freelancer

Lvl 1 Skills
*Adapt: After every 5th level up, character is able to learn one physical ability/skill that another ally has already learned. [[Some skills cannot be learned.]]

Knight

Lvl 1 Skills
Cover Ally - block an attack directed at an ally within 10 feet of you with weapon in hand.
Lvl 5 Skills
Critical Hit - You launch an attack with a higher critical hit rate.


Monk

Lvl 1 Skills
*Focus- Store power for a turn and attack a foe with a deadly blow the next turn.
*Chakra- Character heals light wounds, and poison. Character is defenseless during this turn.
Lvl 9 Skills
Chi Palm- The monk uses inner strength to fire a large wave of energy into his/her palm, and on contact does massive damage.

Thief

Lvl 1 Skills
Pickpocket- Steal items from a target.
Lvl 4 Skills
Mug- Steal items and fatally injuring a target at the same time.

Dragoon

Lvl 1 Skills
Jump- Character leaps high into the air and lands on a foe on the next turn.
Lvl 6 Skills
Lancer- The dragon sends a magical aura through their spear and on contact with an enemy, drains a small amount of HP and MP.

Ninja

Lvl 1 Skills
*Shadow-Step-Morph your form into the shadow's, disappearing from all sight.


Samurai

Lvl 1 Skills
Sword-Slap- Slam the side of a katana into the opponent, stunning them.
Lvl 3 Skills
Cleave- Slash the weak point of the enemy. Pierces defense.
Lvl 10 Skills
Quadra Slice- Swiftly strike a foe with 4 consecutive slashes.
Lvl 15 Skills


Berserker

Lvl 1 Skills
Rage- Temporarily Boosts all allies strength for a short time.
Axe Rush- Race across the battlefield and smash into an opponent with the axe.

Archer

Lvl 1 skills
Direct Aim- Gives 100% accuracy for one hit, but weakens the strength of attack.
Lvl 4 skills
Multi Arrow- Fire 2 arrows instead of one

Mystic Blade

Lvl 1 Skills
Enchant lvl1- Enchant sword with a level 1 black magick.
Lvl 5 Skills
Enchant lvl2- Enchant sword with a level 2 black magick.
Lvl 10 Skills
Enchant lvl3- Enchant sword with a level 3 black magick.
Lvl 15 Skills
Enchant lvl4- Enchant sword with a level 4 black magick.


White Mage

lvl 1 Skills
Cure - heal an ally.
Libra - Sense the enemies' lvl strength/etc.
lvl 4 Skills
Cura - heals an ally
lvl 7 Skills
Protect - Raises allies defenses
Esuna - Makes allies invunerable to status effects.
lvl 10 skills
Float - Float a few feet off of the ground.
lvl 15 skills
Harsh light - Burns demons with divine powers.
lvl 20 skills
Holy - Ultimate White magic.

Black Mage

lvl 1 skills
Fire-fire spell level 1.
Blizzard-ice spell lvl 1. Can freeze target.
Thunder- Thunder spell lvl1. Can stun target.
lvl 3 skills
Blind- Blinds a target
Drain- Drains HP from a target.
lvl 8 skills
Fira- Fire spell level 2.
lvl 10 skills
Thundara- Thunder spell level 2
lvl 12 skills
Blizzara
lvl 14 skills
Firaga/Thundaga/Blizzaga - Black magic level 3
lvl 15 skills
Comet
Lvl 18 skills
Flare
Lvl 20 skills
Ultima


Time Mage

lvl 1 skills
Haste-makes target combat initiative +4 for two turns.
Slow-makes target combat initiative -3 for two turns.


Summoner

lvl 1 skills
Summon LVL1-Summon a spirit of the required level into battle.
Lvl 5 skills
Summon L2
level 10 skills
Summon L3
level 15 skills
Summon L4


Blue Mage

Lvl 1 Skills
Learn-Use a spell or attack that an opponent used during battle.
Blue-lvl ???:

Red Mage

Lvl 1 Skills
Fire-lvl1 fire based spell
Blizzard-lvl1 ice based spell
Thunder-lvl1 lightning based spell
Cure-lvl1 cure spell.


Trainer

Lvl 1 Skills
*Tame-Make a monster docile.
*Control-Control a monster and use it's skills.


Chemist

Lvl 1 Skills
*Medicine-Heal ally with a potion.
*Mix-mix two medicines to make a new one.


Geomancer

Lvl 1 Skills
*Earth: uses an arcane force to use the surroundings to attack an opponent.
*Antitrap-See hidden traps.


Bard

Lvl 1 Skills
*Sing-Sing a song to power up your allies str
*Sonicboom: play a powerful note on instrument and sends a shockwave out at the opponent.


Dancer

Lvl 1 Skills
*Dance-gets a random effect by rolling a d6
1.Leaf dance-Scatters leaves throughout a range of 30 ft, slicing foes around them.
2.Sun dance-Strengthens the suns rays, making it harder for foes and allies to see. ((Does not work at nighttime.))
3.Rain dance-Minor healing for all allies in range of around 30 ft.
4.Failed dance-Character trips and falls, damaging themselves.
5.Sword dance-Send character's weapon flying at an enemy.
6.Dance of Pain-Character takes minor damage.

Mime

Lvl 1 Skills
*Mime-copies a special ability of an ally that just performed.


Character Races:


-Human:
The most potent of races, Humans, also called Humes, are the largest populated species of the lands. Though they have a short lifespan they have turned the world into their own. This race is extremely adaptable and can almost do anything.

Life Span 70 avg.
4'-7' tall.
Lvl 1 HP: 8-35 %roll (+Con roll)
Lvl 1 MP: 2-10 %roll (+Wis roll)


-Seeq:
Humanoids of great girth, considered somewhat duller and cruder than humes. Though they appear ponderous, they move with surprising alacrity, making excellent warriors whether on the attack or defensive. However, their barbarous natures and lack of courage find them engaged more often as bandits or worse. Very fond of gemstones, gold, and other shiny objects, with which they richly adorn their bulky forms.

3'-8' ft tall
Lvl 1 HP: 10-40 %roll
Lvl 1 MP: 0-4 %roll


-Bangaa:
Humanoid race, their bodies covered in small, hard scales, with distinctive long, drooping ears. Bangaa are nimble and strong, living up to twice as long as the average hume. In manner and intelligence they greatly resemble humes, and as such as the most integrated of the humanoid races in hume society.

Even so, some humes call the bangaa "lizards" behind their backs, but this is considered a slur, and is like to deeply offend any bangaa within hearing.

-Moogle:
In certain regions, Moogles call themselves with the pronoun "mog," but typically they end their sentences with the word "kupo." Their intelligence and lifestyles are similar to Humes, which makes it easy for Moogles to live amongst the Humes. With their dexterous hands, they are knowledgeable in the field of engineering.

2'-4'
Lvl 1 HP: 5-34 %
Lvl 1 MP: 4-10 %


-Viera:
The Viera live deep within the woods; male and female Viera live separately from each other and only make contact and communication when the need arises, though this may not be necessary due to their lifespan which is three times that of Humes. Viera have superb eyesight compared to that of Humes. It is said that they can spot their prey from as far as 10 km (6.21 miles) distance. Not to forget their sense of hearing, this allows them to tell the difference in footsteps which comes in handy if they are being hunted themselves.

-Burmecian:
Cleyrans are a race of anthropomorphic armored rats in Final Fantasy IX who inhabit Cleyra, the land covered in a constant sandstorm. They share a biological and cultural heritage with the Burmecians, but were separated by a feud hundreds of years past. Sickened by the Burmecian's dedication to war, a separatist group left the Realm of Eternal Rain and founded a new city in a giant tree to the west. In spite of this feud, the two nations are on reasonably good terms, and offer the Burmecian King refuge following the attack of the Black Mages.

-Nu Mou:
The Nu Mou are dog-like in appearance, being very squat with elongated faces and tails. Other than that, not much is known about the Nu Mou, as they are a very reserved race, prefering to stay quiet in many situations.

The Nu Mou excel in magic, since their small bodies restrict their physical abilities. However, when magic won't do, they can also call on the abilities of monsters to help.

-Esper-born:
Espers were created as a result of humans coming into contact with Magic and the Warring Triad during the War of the Magi. Those who could not use Magic fought against the Espers, who could not control themselves. However, the goddesses eventually realized that they were doing wrong, and they decided to seal themselves away in the forms of Statues. They gave the Espers their free will back, and asked the Espers to protect them.

Trance: Become a shining entity that gains power from their esper blood to go berserk for a short time.]]


-Qu:
This rare species has a sort of training about discovering, and eating, new foods called the "Way of the Gourmand". Qu see this as their mission. Qus also speak in a crude form of broken English. For example, when Qu sees a frog, it thinks, "I eat Frog?"

This odd-looking species is harmless and permanently let their long tongues hang from their mouths, and often dress like chefs.

I like this list. right now im doing a D&D 3.5 convert to final fantasy. the hp and mp will not be as high as like the game but there will be up too lv 100. i like what you have you at least you have some experience with the original classes. don't see that with people. but i like what you have. i use a D100 system for skills. works much like d20 just higher numbers. send me a pm id love to hear more ideas on job abilities. if you have D&D players handbook go through it and come up with more abilities if you can.
