The world is a harmful place
with hurtful words and empty space
giving you hell but you give it grace
losing everything
never even leaving time to sing
time to sing yourself to sleep
but never falling asleep
the world is a harmful place
but you needn't worry
just keep giving it you grace
and maybe it will fill this empty space
