It was a cloudy day in the village of Overton, and Gerogiana sighed as she walked down the long un-paved street. Her long blonde hair flew behind her as she walked and pursed her lips at the sudden wind. Her light blue eyes looked up at the dark gray sky and she walked faster. "Mother's going to kill me!" Gerogiana told herself as WHOOOSH! her hat flew off her head. Gasping and cursing at the same time, she ran after it. Gerogiana could swear she heard laughter in the wind as she chased her hat, but ignored it. "Get back here!" She cried as she jumped in the air, missing her hat by only inches.
After what seemed like hours of chasing, Gerogiana's hat feel softly on the front step of a very old, and very large, mansion. With her hands on her knees, Gerogiana looked at the house with confussing. "That's funny," She panted walking through the black gates at the front of the house. They closed behind her with a BANG that made Gerogiana's skin crawl. Turning back slowly to the manison, she said: "I've never noticed this before..." As she walked up to the door way Gerogiana heard the laughter she had imagened she heard before. With a squeak, she grabed her hat and walked very fast, almost a gallop, to the gate. Gerogiana shook the bars violently and they did not open. With wide eyes Gerogiana turned back to the manison and gulped. What is happening...? She thought as she kicked the gate again - the mysterious laughter sounded loud as the wind swirled around her, making her dress float up by her thighs. With a yell of frustration, Gerogiana push her dress down and looked around her with large blue eyes. The wind started to blow faster and faster as Gerogiana struggled to open the gate. What is happening...? She thought again as she realized she could not open the large black gates - she was now locked in the manison's grounds.
