This is called either gonna be called Lasting/Last Remnants, Last Memories, or something else all together.
Getting ready for my last day
how would you spend it?
I already know how I would.
Same routine, same surroundings.
I'd spend it with her.
I smile just thinking of her.
I'd take her to a special place,
one where we've made promises,
where we've broken them,
a place that's sacred to us
no matter what goes on there.
In and out of time.
My heart is hers, always has been.
I'd love her like no one ever could.
I'd memorize her face, her eyes, her lips.
I'd memorize her body.
This last day, gosh.
I will miss her.
You wont see me.
Not tomorrow,
not next week,
not a year from now.
That whisper on the wind? If only.
That familiar face in the crowd? I wish.
The feeling of an unseen presence? Probably.
I'll miss the smell of her hair,
the taste of her lips,
and the feel of her skin against mine.
She is so worth any sacrifice.
I can already feel myself fading.
If only I could hold her one last time,
my arms around her tightly,
I'd whisper in her ear,
'Don't cry love,
keep our memories safe and think of me softly'.
Time's up, two tears fall into one.
My last breath would be hers in words.
"I love you."
