It is still early, yet when I got to the lab this morning, there was a sign that said that the 7am class had been canceled. I walked inside for a moment, noting that one of the people from that class was inside. I waved then turned around and walked out. I quickly called mom, mostly to ask whether she thought the 15 minute rule was appropriate. She said it was. (for those who don't know, the 15 minute rule means that if a teacher is about 15 minutes late without excuse, students will not be punished for leaving early. In essence, class is canceled.)
Well, so here I sit. When I walked back in, some one from my class was also inside and the other student was still here. When I sat down, he told me that the teacher is in the hospital with back problems. I was slightly taken aback, but then realized that my teacher is no spring chicken.
We were told that we could stay, but I suppose that I can get half the materials that we need, that I might as well leave. Hmmm... The 15 minute rule was negated by the teacher next door coming over and telling us that there is no class. Eh, I guess that I will go back and sit outside. Then again, I think that I will stay here because the smokers outside reek so badly. Hmm... stay here for now...
