Bio
In the past few years, Kadin, a young 14-year-old boy, was stranded outside of the city. He was an outcast in the city, shunned by everyone around him, except for his own kin, which there were few of, and was certainly an outcast in the middle of nowhere. Kadin went by the name of "Link" or "DL", due to his pointed ears. He had ventured upon a building, titled The Hall Of Valhalla. Where he made himself at home. It was out of the city, and no one new him, or gave a bloody damn. Simple as that, he had to earn their trust and respect. But that did not come easily. He was immature, and untrained in the arts of Magic, Fighting, or socialism. That didn't stop him, as he took on the more MediEval side of life, instead of the guns, electronics, cars, planes, and other technology. His clothes were modern, his mind wasn't. He eventually ventured from Valhalla's Hall, and joined in a clan. A clan called The Guardians Of The Night. Where he had joined, and left mysteriously. Than he dragged his friend, often considered his sister, Shinigami Hane into the clan, after his delayed return. The clan was much larger than when he had left, his reputation, and his name, were forgotten from before. He was much more mature than, so he made a better reputation for himself. But he soon met a man named Katarn, a demon, who never seemed to tire. Kadin tried many times to get Katarn back for what he had done to the clan, the clan members and the clan leader, but to no avail, he would just get maimed. And since Katarn was one of those Experienced Demons, he even had a Flying advantage over Kadin. Which made it so Kadin could rarely even touch him. Kadin went on for the next few months before leaving GotN, but he never forgot what had happened. Shini dissapeared, which had driven him into a deep depression for a while, but soon he had gotten better, only to head back to Valhalla, where...there was rarely anyone there. Zanza, the barkeep, had lost any of the tiny bits of respect he had for Kadin. Knight, the Wiseman of the hall, had left. Gwydion, Knight's "brother", had met his love, and married her. Loki, the bar owner, had gone off to do something for the next year. And every one else, was just plain...gone. Eventually, a young women came into the bar, who looked as if she was pregnant. She asked for shelter, and the bar gladly gave her shelter. For no cost. After a while, a man came in (Im sorry, I forgot the names. -_-;; ) and had started Bad mouthing the pregnant women. Eventually, he attacked her. The man was the child's father. Wanting to kill the child, and the mother. The whole bar took action, Kari, Kadin's long time b***h-friend, tended to the girl's wounds, as Knight and Loki (and some others) took action, trying to talk him out, and fend him back. Kadin, foolishly took action, reaching for his sword, and he attacked the man. (Now I remember the name, it was Valuk. I think...Valuk T. Wedge, or something. We'll just go with Valuk. ) Valuk, had grabbed the girl by the neck, and slit her stomach, trying to force the child to come out about 2 months early. These are the wounds Kari was attending too. As Kadin watched Valuk do this, he became enraged. He attacked the man again, and Kadin & Valuk were in a battle that lasted no more than 30 minutes. (Post-wise. ) Kadin had finally gotten Valuk to the ground, and due to Kadin's enhanced strength, he lifted Valuk, a mere human from the ground. Kadin struggled slightly, having to use one hand, but he managed to atleast get Valuk up straight. Kadin held his sword to Valuk's throat, and spoke a few words of disgust. Moments later, Kadin slid the blade across Valuk's throat. After Valuk had fallen limp to the ground, Kadin pressed down on his chest hard, to make sure he was finally out. After the girl had been healed, she had to have the child out. For reasons unknown. (She wasn't human, so there goes a possibility) After all of that, Kadin ordered everyone to turn away. As to prevent any tricks or ressurection, Kadin slaughtered, carved and dismantled Valuk. Completely. Leaving a large blood stain on that part of the ground. Kadin than took what was left of Valuk's torso, and jammed his sword straight through it, jamming it into the ground and splitting it in half. But doing this, the sword would not come out. Kadin did not care much, since that was the last fight he had every wanted to be in...He had a large breakdown, since that was the first and last person he had every killed.....
Kadin, now a year older, had joined another clan, called the Shadow Walkers Clan. Where he met some real morons, but also made a few friends. Rascol, the 2nd in Command, had helped Kadin along at the start. This clan is how he first recognised his talents. He would become an alchemist. He had always liked potions, and grenades...And he wanted to supply the clan. And since he loved ghosts, he would make special Battle Potions for the clan. Special, very special ones, that granted the properties of Apparitions. Transperency, Astral Shifting, and Levitation for a limited time period. Though he never finished the potions, he attuned himself to becoming a Half-Ghost. So he could do certain things, like Astral-Shifting, and slight hovering/flying, for a certain amount of energy. Months had gone by since he had joined this clan. And since...the clan had broken up afterwards, he had left too. Along with the best of the clan. Kari, for some reason stayed. After foolishly following him TO the bloody clan.
Kadin, after metting 3 new people, Keno, a nice young man. Was a holy creature, but sometimes acted evil. Yasuo, an older man. Pretty much rivaled Keno & Kadin, for some random reasons, if not serious ones. And Makero, the one who kept Kadin going. And had spent half a year with.
Kadin, had started running a club like area. It had a bar, guest rooms, and other things. It was outside of town, like how he wanted things to be, and, it grew. It didn't live to long, but it brought it many people.
Kadin & Makero had gotten together at the start of the bar, and, well, it lasted quite a while. Only a few weeks had gone by, before he had almost lost Makero. He had to find a way to heal her, since her race was immune to basic magicks. And after just a few days, he did it. He had healed her completely, if not for a couple of scratches. He loved her, and had almost lost her on many occasions. Even when she had done a Rebirth like thing. She lost her memory, and Kadin had to earn his love and respect back from her. It took a while, but it happened...To an effect. Another couple of months had gone by, until Makero had undergone a transformation. Since she had linked her blood with Yasuo's in a failed suicide to keep him alive, she had obtained a sort of bloodlust. Kadin was only able to stop is twice, before his methods didn't work. So Makero attacked Kadin. Kadin struggled not to attack her back, so he kept trying to misdirect her and fatigue her. It didn't work. Eventually, Kadin had to attack back, and he used his magicks against her. Only one really worked, and it didn't work enough. After what had seemed like a won battle on Kadin's half, turned into a real hell. He was misled, and was maimed (pretty much) in an attempt to knock her out. Eventually, Kadin had devised a plot that would work great enough for him to knock her out cold. But, since Makero had more magicks at her disposal, he turned it around on him. What was supposed to be an implosion of ice-shards, turned out to be a suicide. Makero had switched places with Kadin as soon as the ice-shards formed around her. All of the shards had jammed into Kadin, causing him to bleed to death, as Makero toyed with him and continued attacking. Kadin had lyed in a pool of his own blood, with melted ice and water around him, his vision leaving him and everything else failing. Eventually, Kadin simply died.
Keno, who was still around at some times, had ressurected Kadin, in one of the most painful matters.
Another month or so had passed, before a man named Kaigome, had attacked, and killed Makero. This time, she was dead. And it all was framed on Kadin, who was misled to thinking Demi, the Blood-Alchemist, who had a thin cord between life and death on Kadin, killed her. Kadin didn't believe Demi did it for very long, until he saw the man who did it. Kaigome, seemed to be like Katarn. One b***h to fight. Just without the flying. Kadin tried many times to kill Kaigome, as Kaigome ressurected Makero under his control. This was a turning point for Kadin. He would once again be killed by his love. Or maybe not?
Eventually, Kadin had gotten Kaigome to flee, leaving Makero out of his control, but barely alive. (I'm sorry, I don't remember much after this point. -_- )
Months later, after Makero, who had bore 2 children, Kiyoni and Yasuo, (differant Yasuo) , left Kadin. Apparently, they both had gone seperate ways, somehow. Somehow, they both grew distant...And that ended it.
After about 3 months of life without love, care, support, or trust, Kadin, had finally given up. He had lost his eyesight in an experiment, trying to enhance his alchemic talents, when he lost it all. Kadin went in back of the bar, with his sword, and a mind full of people screaming at him, as he cried to himself. He grinned, as he slit his eyes, letting out a roar at the pulsing surges of pain, than started slitting his wrists. He than raised the sword to his throat, with no 2nd thoughts, and ran it across. The obsidian spread into his blood stream as he bleed to death. Just small amounts of blood were going back to the heart, so he would die sooner with the poisoning.
(If you want the full detail on how it happened, I'll PM you the post. )
Weaponry
Kadin's sword, Jhaka, is his primary weapon. Jhaka is a large b*****d sword, made out of pure obsidian. Weighing approximately 85 pounds. It is lined with metal, very sharp metal, to insure that the blade will cut through the skin.
His secondary 'weapon', is his ability to perform alchemy. As in the real alchemy. Potionry. Making grenades, special magical potions which give special properties, and sometimes illusion potions.
Sorcery
Lightning: Kadin can cast around 15,000 volts of electricity from his index and middle fingers. The aim is horrible unless Kadin takes the time to concentrate. But they can sometimes Chain, working between about 3 things/people. (Inanimate Objects can be affected, aslong as they are metal or stone)
Glacial Burn: Originally, Kadin could only work with a few small shards of ice. (sharp). But after experimenting and training, Kadin has achieved the ability to blast a mist from his right hand, about 70 degrees below Zero. (Around instant freezing temperature for room-temp objects) Basically, all it does it burn the living ******** out of anything it touches. Unless something is room-temperature, or already chilled, it cannot be instantly frozen. It would sting and burn humans, since their body-heat is above 97 Farenheit. (Usually) Instantly freezing a human/humanoid demon/celestial would force Kadin to use Glacial-Burn with both hands, draining him of most of his energy.
Special Techniques
Bane - Kadin selects 2 differant cards from his trademark Elemental Deck, which he has carried since the beginning of his alchemic & sorceric career. Kadin chooses a Glacial, and a Lightning card. Folding them both together to make a triangle out of them. Tossing it between himself and the enemy, a large collection of ice shards forms around the enemy. Lightning, blasting from the card and into every single shard of ice, they become nothing more than deathtraps. Even one shard contains 7,000 volts, after the attack has been performed. At this point, the enemy will either retaliate, or stand in fear. Whatever they do, they need to do it quickly, because the shards of ice very quickly retract into the enemy, like an implosion. The ice shards cutting and burying into the skin, as the 7k volts do the damage by shocking the blood, heating the Iron inside of it. If done correctly, the enemy can be burnt from the inside out in seconds.
Obsession - When Kadin has a strong recollection of memories, Kadin goes into a rage. He loses all thought and common sense, but this doesn't always have to be for fighting. And it's not much of a technique. But it comes in handy when fighting someone with strong armor, or someone who can take a lot of hits. Kadin has to suffer, every single day, about the loss of his fiancee & children. This is what causes him to lose his mind. Kadin will often forget his potions and sorcery during this point, and attack any living thing around him. When Kadin deals with his Obsession personality, Kadin will often fight until he dies, passes out, or has someone stop him either by force or love. This includes everyone he's known since he had ventured back into the 'world'. (See Bio. He was outcasted, so thats what I mean by 'Ventured Back' )
Pain - After suffering a certain amount of damage or fatigue, Kadin usually gives up. Everytime he's hurt, he often thinks of his ex-fiancee and his children. This is much like "Obsession", but it works with the Sorcery/Alchemy part, and leaves him with very little physical strength. Technically, the Counter-part of Obsession. His spells sometimes may be strengthened twice their normal power, and his alchemy can be used for a longer time. His grenades, can become to potent, they even inflict a temporary venom. And his FlashBangs can sometimes singe sensitive areas of the opponent. But if Kadin doesn't take precautions, his grenades may backfire.
