Brawl Rant
Okay, my Brawl POV, in depth.

Things Removed from Brawl for No Reason
Dash/Crouch Cancelling
Directional Air Dodging(And wavedashing therein)
Roy
Dr. Mario
Mewtwo
L-Cancelling
Speedy ledge-hops

Okay, I wanted to get those out of the way.
Now then, general rant/issues

Character speed was significantly destroyed. Most characters are WAY slower in Brawl than in Melee. Also, because of the floatiness of the game, inertia and momentum were thrown out the window. Take, for instance, Capt. Falcon. Play Melee, dash, and jump. See how far you fly, even if you take pressure off of the control stick? Now do the same thing in Brawl. Bye, bye. Jumping distance, and therefore, much of Capt. Falcons ledge game, is destroyed. What's the point? Why take away a significant ability crucial to the ability to edgeguard?

The wavedash was removed. Why? The wavedash gave so much with no draw back. See Marth over there, charging that f-smash? No time to turn around? Wavedash backwards. Marth's attack misses, you wavedash back to in front of him and counter while he's lagging. Why take that out? Edgehogging is now harder. You could, in Melee, wavedash backwards onto the ledge, and not waste time.

Crouch cancelling was removed. That too, was a crucial ability. Dashing Grabs are sooo slow. So, while dashing, hit down, and your momentum is cancelled, and you can perform a standing grab. Also, from the crouch, hit the C-Stick, and you can Smash out of a dash. And don't EVEN say that you can U-Smash while dashing. Yeah, you can also slide while you do it.

Final. Smashes. Completely ridiculous. "Hey, I got a great idea, Sakurai!!!" "Lay it on meh, brother." "How about we give each character a one hit kill move, except we give the already overpowered characters MORE overpowered finishers, and the weaker characters weaker ones?!?!" "Okay, great!!!" -Sakurai then turns, and we see the bicycle pump embedded in his brain- That leads me to the character gripes.

There are four characters I have issues with. First, and the most obvious...
Meta Knight. Oh my GOD. "Did you know that he can recover well with all of his specials? Did you know he has multiple jumps and glides? Are you aware that-" Heh? Stop riiight there. What? All of his Specials are recoveries? He can jump what, 6 times, and GLIDE? Continue. "Thank you. Now, His Up Special is an Instakill, literally ALL of his moves combo into eachother, and his down throw is practically inescapable?" You cannot be serious. That is nowhere NEAR balanced. MK is more broken than your face after a close encounter with Chuck Norris.

Next, Snake. I don't even have to explain, as I am linking you to a video of his RIDICULOUS hitboxes. Moving on to...

Ike. Holy mother of- How... His power hit level is OVER NINE THOUSAND. He can kill you with practically all of his moves. At 10%. That's freakin' stupid. Also, Invincibility frames EVERYWHERE.

And finally, Sonic. I'm sorry, but he's dead. He's annoying. He shouts his taunts. His recovery is horrible and too good at the same time... it's just retarded.

Finally for explanations.
If you were wondering about L-Cancelling, and Speedy ledge-hops, here you go.
L-cancelling is the act of hitting the L or R button upon collision with the ground during an aerial attack. The lag of the attack is cut in half. That was awesome! You missed with Link's dair? Just hit L, problem solved.

Ledge hopping is when, on the ledge, you hit down on the Control Stick, and immediately jump, allowing you to counter with an Aerial off the ledge. In Melee, you can do this immediately upon contact with the ledge. In Brawl, wait about a valuable second before performing the hop. In that time, you could be hit with no chance of recovery.

Before you bash me about the length...
tl;dr: Brawl sucks.
