Chapter 3: The Hunter and the Hunted
After finding each other Avery, Paul, and Jake became best friends. One day Jake collapsed. He was unconcious. A poison dart was found in his neck. Two more were soaring through the air towards Avery and Paul. They dodged them and saw their sniper, brownish-blond haired (lighter than Paul's), Irish, and tan. Female. Paul stayed with Jake while Avery ran toward the sniper, trying to catch up to her. He dove and grapped both of her feet, causing her to fall. "Who are you?!" screamed Avery. she had the tattoo, she was part of The Choke. "My name is Ashley!" she yelled. "I'm sorry! I will owe you one if you let me go!" she yelled while crying. "Fine, follow me." Avery replied. When they got there Jake had regained consciousness. They were all introduced then Ashley left, giving us her phone number for the favor. "Are you ok?" a stranger asked nervously. "I'm Chloe, and I saw everything." Yeah, I'm fine," Jake replied. "Good," Chloe sighed relieved. "Was she an enemy of yours? If so, I want to accompony you, for protection. I'm part of a small intelligence service called Help. It stands for helping everyone little pleasurfuly. We help people on small scales. She had the tattoo of The Choke." "We are part of Help, too. We are here in France because we got word that we were going to be attacked." Avery explained. "I still want to stay with you guys, I'm here for the same reason." "That's strange, I was told that only two other Help operatives were hiding out in France." Paul commented. "Oh, well. Come on let's get out of here before people start wondering what's going on." Chloe said.
