I really hate it when I'm randomly invited to guilds by people I barely know. If it involves paying money to join, I most definitely reject the invitation. But if it's free, I join it to take a look, yanno?
So I go into the Animanium Polls guild and I read a thread demeaning a friend of mine. Given, she could have made some unwarranted posts in the guild, I posted with a general observation on the situation. I even apologized for any mis-interpretations I could have made. And they post back with stare emoticons, and call me Phillis Willis. etc. the thread was also locked to prevent fighting, so I couldn't even respond to 'redeem' myself.
I never use the Guild's system, to be honest. The most I've posted in was a Beyblade guild, but mainly because that's where I was able to find Zii. And to be honest, with experiences like this happening when I enter a random guild for the first time, I can safely say that Guild's have not made the best impression on me. Lili's guild was fun, the Beyblade guild was fun-- but I *knew* the people there, it was like any other thread I hung out in.
The other guilds? ... not so much. To me anyways.
