1. Czar Nicholas II
Nicholas II was born on May 6, 1868, in Tsarskoe Selo. He was delivered by his mother Marie Fyodorovna Romanova, formerly Dagmar, Princess of Denmark. His father Alexander Romanov was an important member of the Russian government. In 1914, World War I began. Nicholas II took command of the army in 1915. He left the government of Russia in the hands of Czarina Alexandra Feodorovna and her advisor Rasputin. Discontent spread throughout Russia. The army was tired of war, and food shortages worsened. The government was in complete disarray. In March of 1917, Nicholas II was forced to abdicate. He and his family were shot to death in Yekatinburg on July 16, 1918.
Industry rapidly incrrease and also have absolute power in military. He was later ovethrown in Febuary Revolution.
2. Josef Stalin
He was born Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili, in Gori, which is now in the Republic of Georgia, in 1879. Became leader of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Between 1922 and 1953 he was the secretary general of Communist party. In 1899 he began a career in the Social-Democratic party (Marxist revolutionary group) as a propagandist .
He killed many peasants who oppose him.
3. Lenin
Lenin, the leader of the radical Bolsheviks, was an outlaw and actually lived in Galicia and Switzerland at the beginning of World War I. He carried on a lively debate with the more moderate wing of the Russian Social Democrats called Mensheviks.
Founder of the Russian Communists party (The Reds). Tried to rebuild ecomony with collective farming method.
4. Leon Trotsky
Being a communist leader expelled from his homeland, Leon Trotsky had a hard time finding a country where he would be allowed to reside. He stayed temporarily in several countries, until he was allowed to come to Mexico in 1937, after Diego Rivera had used his influence to make this possible. August 20th 1940 Leon Trotsky was attacked with an ice-axe in his office in Mexico City by one of Stalin's followers, and the following day Leon Trotsky died.
5. The Kremlin
The Kremlin is Russia's mythic refuge, a self contained city with a multitude of palaces, armories, and churches, a medieval fortress that links the modern nation to its legendary past in the ancient state of Kievan Rus.
Home for the imperial family. Also the central government.
6. The Russian Church
The Orthodox Church is the largest religious association in Russia. At present it has 123 dioceses in various regions of Russia and in far and near abroad. Since 1990 the Russian Church has been led by His holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, the 15th patriarch in its history, who governs together with the Holy Synod.
Held great power before the Russian Revolution and a huge influence over Russia.
7. The Working Class
First time in history a working class revolution succeeded in ousting the old ruling classes.
Peasants who worked far more and get paid minimum.
8. Germany
Was against Russia during WWI and WWII. One of the large central power. Germany was feared of revolution and used the propaganda.
9. The Pravda
Pravda, the party newspaper, meanwhile carried on active propaganda against the extension of the war, attacked the Mensheviks as traitors, and called for "resignation of the provisional government and all power to the soviets." The Right wing led by Kamenev supported the government of Prince Lvov and wanted to heal the split with the Mensheviks.
A newspaper which has full propaganda in Russia. Pravda means "truth".
10. The International
A song of the International Brigade "Abraham Lincoln"
A song written to the communists.
11. Communists
Common advantage. Believes that all people are equal and also believed to have a classless society.
