Okay, so we've now been at Hilton Head Island for a few days now. The island itself is absolutely gorgeous and I love it here. There are bike trails EVERYWHERE and you can pretty much bike around the entire island if you wanted to via the trails.

The villa is VERY nice. I have my own room and private bathroom, there's a sizable kitchen and living area to hang out with, and a washer/dryer so I can do laundry in the event I spill something or get something icky on my clothing.

I did some outlet shopping and made out like a bandit, got some new sunglasses, which I swear was fated to happen as mine (actually an old pair pilfered from my little sister) broke on the car trip down, and have had lots of down time to relax and replenish.

The only downside so far to the trip...it's VERY COLD HERE RIGHT NOW!!!

This makes walking the beach, in all it's windy glory pure torture right now, so no walking the beach for me or taking my drawing supplies there to sit and draw some of the scenery.

Fortunately, all is not lost at this point. Friday and Saturday are supposed to be fairly mild at a whopping 55-60 (note the sarcasm) so I should at LEAST be able to go down, walk the beach, and take some pictures that I can use as a reference to draw from.

I'm also super excited. Tomorrow we're going to take a day trip down to Savannah, GA and check out the historic district of the city. I'm preparing to take many pictures of the gardens there (even if they won't be in full glory yet)

And now off to bed for me, as I need to be up EARLY in order to be ready in time to leave for our day destination. Wish me luck! 3nodding
