Dyer's Eve: Torture
Kage awoke slowly in a dark cell. He slowly opened his eyes to find his vision impeded by a metal mask locked around his head and he had been stripped down to a pair of sack cloth pants and nothing more. His eyes widened and looked through the eye holes as his focus fully returned allowing him to see his head was suspended above a stone floor. A chain was anchored at the crown of the mask and the ceiling above. He tried reaching for the mask to find his hands were locked inside metal casing that were chained to opposite walls. With a quick glance to each side he fought hard too hold back the rage he wanted too unleash. "A quicker recovery then we had anticipated." Just as the words were uttered Kage shot a piercing glance at the speaker. An Atlantion general stood in front of the door to Kage's cell. "Mermaid filth." He growled as he tried lunging at the man but the chains wouldn't allow it. Surprised that his feet had barely moved he felt that his ankles had been shackled to the floor as well but he didn't look down to see it. He merely stared lifelessly at the man. Kage's eye's started to glow and in the same instant a ring of strange markings on the floor surrounding him light brightly and shocked him with powerful bolts. The markings both suppressed his magiks and harmed him for even trying to use them. A few moments of growling in pain and Kage dropped back down to his knee's.

"You'll find it quiet useless to try anything, Death incarnate. You wont be escaping nor harming anyone else." The Merman mocked. "Since I can see you understand the situation we wont waste anymore time." Kage's eyes shot from the stone floor up to the general as he reached behind himself without turning away and knocked on the thick wooden door twice and stepped to the side allowing room for it to be opened. A pair of guards entered the cell, each carrying a whip rolled up in loops. Kage looked at the two then at the whip's. The two took their positions standing outside the ring on markings at 45 degree angles from the direction Kage was facing. The General shut the door before he spoke. "You may begin." With that the two men unfurled their whips, drew them back and began striking Kage with them repeatedly. As the whips slashed at his body he would give them no satisfaction. No reaction came from him in any way, he merely stared at the General. Wound after wound was made and wound after wound healed by turning black and fading from his body like ash and smoke. The general watched Kage's thick muscular body stayed in its perfectly chiseled form. "Wait. The general ordered prompting the men too stop. "Use them for what they are." They looked at the General then back too Kage. The two tightened their grip on their whips and an elegant pattern of glowing lines light from the end of the handle all along to their end.

Kage's eyes looked at one of the whips curiously. He had never seen such weapons before. "I think you'll find them much more effective now. We call them Togru. Weapons that can kill immortals. The wound's will not heal so fast." A sinister grin graced his face as he stared at Kage who quickly stared right back. With that the two guards started whipping Kage again. With the first strike Kage jerked and let out a pain filled growl, his head whipped back and his eyes widened as far as his sockets would allow. The two men continued, whipping him over and over without pause leaving gash after gash on his body. The blood that flowed from him was black and did not shine like any normal liquid should. The general looked at the blood with intrigue as it dripped from Kage's body to the floor, ignoring the roar's of pain their victim was letting out. His screams echoed through the halls of the dungeon burred deep within the earth. That first night some of the Mermaids laid claim to hearing his screams at a short range around the outside of the prison. Just the thought sent chills down their spins.

This torture would continue for years. Kage was helpless to escape, helpless to resist, helpless to even move. Kept locked in that stone cell with no sunlight, minimal torchlight, no food, no water and more beatings than anyone person should know of. This was the price he would pay for his actions as deemed by the Atlantions. A race of people he would grow to hate almost more then the sorceress that cursed him.
