Okay. So a month ago I printed out a Mary Magdalene dress to work on for my prom dress. It's a sweet little Classic Lolita number with lots of little curves and details. I had two months to make it, so it would be fine!
MM-hmm. Well, I have to have fabric to make it. Do I have fabric yet, a month later? No. Mum has work.
So. I need to buy one, or to have a fairly simple pattern. Problem is, I'm picky! D:
Basically, I'm looking for ideas. If anyone has a pattern for a Lolita-style dress, it would be amazing! Or if anyone knows of a fairly-priced (up to about $150 TOTAL MAX) dress appropriate for prom. I don't mind edgy, it just can't be too edgy.
Now, I've found about a hundred so far that I totally love! The big problem?
They don't come in my size.
Now, I can find several that have my waist size. It's the bustline. Uh-huh. Typical. The bane of every slightly-larger woman's wardrobe quest.
What I'm trying to say is: I need a dress for larger women. My waist is about 39 inches. Okay, I'm big, yes. But the biggest problem is the 47" bust. So basically I can't have a dress that is strapless or that has too much embellishment on the chest, 'cause that would just be tacky.
Bottom line:
Anyone have any patterns? D: Or do you know of a website where I can order a dress which would be big enough?
Thankies T-T
