Like many of the days in her life, Angel was getting lonely. She was patient in finding her Doctor. She knew, if she waited, she could travel with that brilliant man and see things she always wanted to see. But it was as if her search for him was interminable.

Right now Angel was investigating a facility that was shut down for creating clones. Luckily she has gone to places like this before, so she knew how to get in and out without being noticed.

"What crazy experiments have they-?" Before Angel could finish she heard a consistent tapping.
tap, tap, tap, tap all of them in an eight of a beat. As she got deeper in the bowels of the building she found a cylindrical dome filled with gas. Despite not knowing what would happen to her, she opened the small door. Angel couldn't believe it. Inside was what seemed like a boy, entirely naked and freezing. Once he saw her he ran back, scared out his mind.
"Shh shh shh. It's okay. I won't hurt you." She tried to hold him but he walked even farther back.
"Wha-wha-Who are you?" he asked, with a lump in his throat.
As he asked this, it finally hit her. He looked so familiar to her. The sideburns, the wavy black hair, his demeanor. He was like the Doctor...but, part of him was like the Doctor in a NEW way.
No, she thought. The Doctor...He didn't-He didn't regenerate, did he? It was as if all those dreams of that new body, that new T.A.R.D.I.S, that new companion...were true.
So he did regenerate, and now she REALLY had to meet him. Not only did she want to see him and travel with him, but he was wasting bodies! He needed a good defense, and she was the right person to do so.
She also wondered: How could they find a piece of the Doctor's DNA? And what sick person would want to do this?

As she looked into the little boy's eyes, she melted. She got a little closer to him and sat down. "I'm-I'm Angel."
"Angel who?"
"Does it even matter?" She saw she hurt his feelings and said, "I'm sorry. I'm a bit grumpy today. I don't have a last name, okay? Just Angel. Who are you, little one?"

He hesitated but extended his hand. "I don't have a last OR first name. They just call me 19."
19? Was he the 19th try?
Angel sighed. She could see he was upset and lonely. Tears came onto his face.
Now Angel didn't have a little bit of maternal instincts, like normal people. Her maternal instincts were HUGE. She even had them for the Doctor! So when she saw this lonely, crying boy (which was, in a way, a representation of herself), she couldn't help but embrace him. "Hey, hey. It's okay. Let it out. I don't mind." After the boy cried a little, she asked, "May you tell me what happened here? And why are you here?"

He looked up, his cheeks swollen and red, and said, "There was this man...I don't know his name. He REALLY loved some guy called the Doctor. I guess he tried to hang out with him, but it never worked. So, since he was some big science genius, he tried to make a mixed clone of him. He wanted me to be his replacement. Apparently a group called Torchwood found out and shut this place down, while I was left behind. Over there is a computer of journal entries explaining the whole process of my creation. If you want, you can take a look at it."

Angel could barely believe it. "A mixed clone?" she repeated.
"Yes. I'm part of the Doctor that my creator called his Tenth body, and the other part which he called the New body."
Oh my god, she thought. "You are getting out of here. Now." She stood up and picked him off, a bit surprised by how light he was. Apparently he didn't mind and he clung onto her as she ran out of the room.

Angel got down to the lower levels to find this computer the boy spoke of. She put him down and turned on the computer. Being an excellent hacker, she was able to find the journal entries in no time. After she listened to this crazy fan talking about his love and finding more and more ways to make a mixed duplicate, she exclaimed, "s**t!" She could tell from the look in this man's eyes that he was overly obsessed with the Doctor. Here was another reason why she knew not to get TOO close the Doctor: you'd turn into him, this mad scientist. And even worse she knew there were other people like him.
Apparently, when the Doctor went to Dreamland, he left a bit of his DNA behind, and one scientist, the one who created the mixed clones, was completely intrigued by him. This boy was the 19th attempt to make a perfectly good mixed clone, hence being called 19. What appalled her the most was, if the mixed clone was not perfect (if there was some characteristic that the scientist didn't like), he would just kill off the mixed clone and do the process all over again.
Angel knew that this couldn't happen again. Luckily Torchwood was able to solve that, since the scientist was put in prison and the place was shut down. But what about this one?
She typed up a virus that would erase all of the data and information, so that no one would find this information and do this all over again.

Angel scooped up the little boy and ran out of there, relieved that such a place would not exist in hopefully a long time.

They ran back to Angel's apartment.

"Well," said Angel. "We need to find a name for you. Do you have any preferences?"
"No, really. I don't know any good names. Besides, I'm just lost."
"Lost...well how about Theta? That name was lost a long time ago..."
"I like Theta...But I think I need a last name too."
"Hmmm..." Then she remembered the man who helped her find the fantastic show of Doctor Who: David Tennant.
"Well, how about Theta Tennant?"
The boy grinned. "I love it!" He spoke with a smile that made it obvious he was the Doctor.

"What do we do now?"
"I'm not sure," said Angel. "All this time I was looking for a fantastic man called the Doctor. He's like you, but a bit different. But, after what happened today, I'm not sure if I want to continue. Besides, you should have a normal childhood. I don't even know if you have two hearts, or if you're immortal like the Doctor!"
"What happens if you find him?"
"Well...I would like to become his friend. If I do that, then maybe I can travel with him. Oh, all the places you'd go! They're amazing and magical, and I would like to see some of that. But...I don't know where he is. I don't want to search forever! And even if I find him, he might not like me. I could do all of this in vain. For nothing...like me."
What happened next was something of a shocker. Theta took her hand and said, "We all take risks. That doesn't mean you should give up yours. You shouldn't give up yet. But, we should be realistic. We should live our lives as if it was our last moments. But, if we find out more about this Doctor, then we'll try to a find a way to find him. Then, when we do, we'll try to find a way to reserve a place for both of us to travel with him. Is that okay?"
Angel thought she was going crazy. Here was a young boy, who was a clone of the Doctor, and he was already thinking of a plan on how to live our lives!?
Angel hugged him tightly and said, "Yes. Yes, that's brilliant!" Tears were streaming out of her eyes. "Thank you..."
In her opinion, this was part of the Doctor she never saw before. Maybe this was part of the new body, she thought. Well, good for him.
"I think I should take you somewhere nice. Where's the place you always wanted to go?"
Theta looked around at the apartment. On the side there was a small bed, neatly made. He walked over to it and said, "Bed."
Angel chuckled and walked to the bed. As she tucked him in she gave him a light kiss. As she saw him falling asleep, she thought: Congratulations, Doctor. You're a dad again.

~A FEW HOURS LATER...~
As Theta woke up he looked at Angel with complete happiness. Here was a girl who was giving him a chance to live. He had never been so loved.
"Can we go somewhere nice?' he asked.
Angel smiled. "Of course. We can go to a nearby Amusement park. That's always fun!"
"What's an amusement park?"
"I'll tell you on the way there. But you need to get dressed. I'll find you some of my old clothes."
As he looked, he found a blue suit that he just adored. "Can I wear this?"
She chuckled. "Of course you can."
He digged deeper and found a tweed jacket. "How about this?"
Angel was a bit hesitant, but she agreed.
"Well, I...um..."
"What? What is it, Theta?"
"I can't decide. Should I wear this or this?"
In his hands he was holding a bow tie and a normal tie. Angel gulped. "Ummm...how about both? Half the time you wear the normal tie, the other half you wear the bow tie."
"Really? Awesome!"
After he put his clothes on, Angel smiled. "You look lovely."
"So do you. You look brilliant."
When he said that, Angel couldn't help but laugh.

When they arrived at the amusement park, Angel said, "These are rides. When you go on them, you feel a sense of happiness and freedom. It's so much fun."
"Ooh..."
"Oh! I forgot to mention. I brought a friend along."
"A friend? What's her name?"
"Nichelle. And she brought a friend you will really like."

"...Okay. Will they have fish sticks? I have a hunger for those..."

A bit surprised, Angel said, "I don't think so."

"Aww...but I love fish sticks."
"Don't worry. I'll get you some soon."
As she saw Nichelle and Doctor David approaching, she took Theta's hand and brought him along.
Theta saw a tall girl with long blonde hair wearing a brown hat. She had on a long striped scarf that ran down her back. He also noted that she wore red converse shoes. Next to her there was a young boy with short, golden brown hair. He wore a brown pinstriped suit, and also had red converse shoes.

"Hey, Nichelle. Hey Davy. You wouldn't believe what happened to me yesterday. This is Theta. He's another clone of the Doctor. Theta, this is Nichelle and Doctor David, or Davy for short."

Davy's eyes widened as he saw the blue suit. "He has the same fashion sense as me! Well, besides the tweed and bow tie."
Nichelle just beamed. "AWW! He's so adorable! And cute!"
Angel laughed. "I know right?"

Nichelle looked up and asked the question that was on the two girls' minds. "Is this another son of the Doctor? And does that mean that Theta and Davy are brothers?"
The four looked at each other in shock.
Davy broke the silence. "I have a brother? Yay!"
"Oh, no," said Theta.
"Surprise!" Angel exclaimed to Nichelle.
