Little Minori, young and sweet,
drowned when the ice broke under her feet.
Gasping and pale, she wound up alone,
finding a treasure, something she never had known.
The night of her death, was a sight to see,
a blizzard so brutal; not one eye could believe.
Another child came out, looking to play,
when a small girl was seen, on the ground she lay.
Young Minori stood, her eyes a light in the storm,
little did the other girl know, she was not a living form.
Little Minori pointed, signaling to the lake,
with promises of treasure; a great prize would await!
The child raced forward, eager to find,
the treasure that lured, the jewels enshrined.
Running into the water, she searched despite the gale,
Paddling out farther, her limbs began to fail.
Sinking into the lake, she held out her hand,
seeking help from Minori, to get back to land.
Little Minori watched, without even a trace
of remorse as she sank into the water’s embrace.
Children have died; gone the same way;
As young Minori, the pale little fay.
If you value your life, do not go to the lake,
or you may meet Minori, and so meet your fate.
