A Touch of History
This will mostly contain history stuff.
* I think I have a little crush on Richard Engle. There is something crazy sexy about intelligence, competence, and bravery all combined with verbal eloquence.

* Newsweek just noticed the existence of the non-binary community: http://www.newsweek.com/2010/08/16/life-without-gender.html

I think I want to slap the presenters in the little inset clip. How hard would it be to... gasp.. ask? I mean, wouldn't a good way to cover a complex issue be to actually find out the answers? Interview someone, maybe check out some web sites? I mean, isn't that more logical than spreading the ignorance and being smugly offensive?

They also included a little trans photo gallery here: http://www.newsweek.com/photo/2007/12/20/new-bodies-new-lives.html

* It amuses me that pundits have taken to referring to the horrible Bush policy of punishing the poorest districts as "Child Left Behind" the same way teachers do.

They still look like accident victims to me, but I know I'm the minority.

* "Warner Bros. Goes After 'Harry Popper' Condom Line:" http://www.cinematical.com/2010/08/19/warner-bros-goes-after-harry-popper-condom-line/

* Wow! TDS lead with a montage of anti-Muslim hate speech from news sources gathered in the last 24 hours. Clarifies stuff, doesn't it. John Stewart's thing on guilt by association was excellent as well.
