It's fare thee well my old lover Hi Gaians! It's been about 10 months since my last update, which was a week before the 2009 Halloween Event. Since then, I've worked at Gaia as a team lead of both Events and Sponsorships. I would say that I haven't been posting because I needed that time for sleeping, but I haven't been doing that either rofl One of the only bad parts of this last year has been my inability to keep up with the users of this site, and I definitely felt the void as I felt increasingly detached from what was going on in our community day-to-day. It's been an awesome 4 years, 1 month, and 20 days at Gaia Interactive - it remains the best place I've ever worked, and I was very lucky to have been here as long as I have. I've made lots of friends in HQ and on the site, and I've learned more than can fit in my [unflatteringly large] head. It's been my dream to make video games since I was a little 5-year old boy playing Mario Brothers on the original NES. I feel as though Gaia has afforded me that opportunity, and more than that: to build huge games played by hundreds of thousands of people simultaneously. If Little Kid Fleep (LKF) knew what he'd be up to 21 years later, he'd probably have felt much better about life in general. For that, I owe Gaia (and especially Lanzer, who hired me all those years ago) an irresolvable debt. It’s not often you get to live your dreams. On that note, I'd like to announce that after this post, I will be back to being a regular Gaia user. As of this Friday, August 27th, I will no longer be a developer for GaiaOnline.com. If you’ve followed my journal, you know that I eat, sleep, and breathe my work here at Gaia – so it'll be an interesting change to be able to enjoy the site from a different perspective. I decided to make this change for the very reason that my work here has been a huge factor in my life - I felt it was time for me to eat, sleep, and breathe other things (like food, actual sleep, and air). I couldn’t be happier that Frontier Skies was the last product I got to work on here -- even if I didn’t get to do my usual teasers. Events have been my favorite thing to work on at Gaia, just as they were for many of you to play. There’s no better way to go out, I feel. Hey… we finally had an event that didn’t crash the site! Like ramoneguru says, “it only took us 7 years.” I value the time I had here, and I’ve done my best to make the most of it. Everyone who works here is very lucky to do so, and I hope they all realize it. Gaia’s a magical place that I was fortunate enough to call my home. Keep having fun, everyone!

	I'm glad you're gonna still be a user here, but it's going to be sad to see you go. While I never agreed with every decision you and your peoples made, you guys were still wonderful for giving us events, games, and a wonderful site to hang out on. I wish you the best of luck, and hope that the actual sleep gives you actual good dreams rather than nightmares of Gambino's laughing face attached to sheep jumping a fence. whee Frontier skies is awesome. And it didn't crash the site, so it makes you guys even more awesome. You keep having fun too!

	Sorry to hear you're leaving the delevopment staff, but I'm immensley happy that you will still be on the site, and as a regular gaian no less! I hope you will fill us in on what your next endevor will be, because I know myself, as well as the rest of the gaia community, would love to know if you are going to work at another great company, like gaia. You did an amazing job on the summer event, and although it's difficult, it is a nice change of pace from the other events we've had in the past, and for that alone, I'm gratefull. Have a nice long rest, and go visit a buffet. Take a walk in a park if you want and just generally take a breather from the virtual world for a while. 	Ah, although it is sad that you're quitting Gaia, but I'm also glad for your choice since you've been working for the Gaia Team for a few years. It's still good that you're going to still be a Gaia member here so you can keep in contact with us, instead of just quitting and not signing on ever again. Also will you keep us updated about things? Not Gaia related but how YOUR life is. Also if you can't remember who this is, when I first started I started with the name of RyuRecon.

	Wow. Your weekly journal updates were one of my weekly Gaia highlights at the time. And you've always made Gaia sound like one of the best places to work, ever~ The stories made me like Gaia even more. It's sad to hear that Gaia's losing you as an employee, but I hope you enjoy your new free time on the site. This really is a nice site to waste free time on. I hope you enjoy your new found food, sleep and air.

	I remember your telling us about the kind of hours you'd put into Gaia. I'm glad that with all the hard work you put into Gaia that you were able to take huge leap and bounds in realizing your life dream. That's surprisingly rare since most of us become another cog in the machine or are too afraid to take that chance. Good luck on your future endeavors Fleep. From all the good times and the bad times I've had in the Sheep of Fleep thread, I can say that from day one to this day I have a lot of respect for you. They were good times Fleep. I know you'll continue to have good times as you pursue your dream/ I appreciate your hard work all these years and your being a friend in the past. C:

	You realize you're never going to be "just" a regular user, right? You could spend the rest of your days posting "BUNP" in a CB thread and you'd still be a beloved celebrity. Nobody would even call you out on the typo; they'd be scrambling to figure out what "bunp" stands for because it's clearly a hint to a future plot twist. 	Fleep,you have been an invaluable asset to the site over the past 4 years.You have tried to stay connected to the userbase more than most developers an other members of staff,not because you felt it was your job but because you cared about what was going or wanting feedback on features and events.Even though you're not leaving leaving the site,your expertise will be missed,and I hope you find as much joy with your next route in life as you did with this one.I wish I had gotten to see more what you were like during that span of time though,but I appreciate efforts and goodhearted prowess regardless. 	We'll miss you and your hard work on staff, but to be honest I'm excited to have the chance to see you around not in your usual role of trying to be a representative for Gaia (and all the 'shoot the messenger' flak you got for trying) but as just another user and potentially a new friend some time in the future. You deserve some time to just relax and be among the rest of us. And after a while I'm sure you'll come to realize that there's something deeply deeply wrong with most of us. But at least we're funny for the most part. And that's the delicate balance of the Gaian userbase.

	Due to you being the most visible, you were my favorite Dev... and I still have that image of you in the shirt with the squint eyes rofl Anyway, thanks for all your hard work on the site, you really brought things around. Even stood up for yourself and your team when you felt the need. heart And you should definitely be proud of "Frontier Skies", this is one of the most oddest well put together games. I was hoping it would stay up as a mini game of some sort.
