This is my opinion on Avatar's Creation and styles.
My other thoughts on Avatar Forums.
SO avatars well Avatars is main feature on Gaia online you can customize your avatar top to bottom. My simple honest to Buddha on avatar's is if it looks great/awesome/neat/cool/amazing. Then it looks as it is. I really don't like people who think they know everything "elitist" on avatar creation. It's your avatar you create what ever you wish and want on YOUR avatar. Yes you can seek help from fellow Avatar people to improve your look but beware of those Avatar users that put you down.
I used to be a avid avatar poster back in the early Gaia years and I really tend to help and suggest and not put down User's avatars.
When creating avatars it you in control not other people what say to you.
Other things in Avatar land if you need help and improve your avatar then post for help. Just beware of those assess will jump onto you and put you down just ignore them and move on. Also I know that there are some really good Avatar creators in Gaia just never help others in need of help, "the circle of elitists" Back in the day there were a group of them and made their nest in the forum pretty much boss the posts. But now it pretty saturated and most of them spread off.
Gaia is a community that hangs out and chat have fun. Just help others and you will see how powerful and resourceful if people work together and improve!
And everyone will have great avatars that represent the user. ^_^
