He snapped his goggles on his head, running down stairs, he almost made it before his mother's hand caught him.

"Edward have breakfast first! I didn't see you all of yesterday spend some time with me." Menou told Edward.

"But mom I haven't finished--" Edward sighed before he was cut off by his mother again.

" No buts mister" Menou demanded, bringing Edward over to a table that had scrambled eggs and orange juice.

"Dad's never here for breakfast." Edward stated, trying to squirm out of having breakfast.

"Your father is doing very important things at the lab and you know that. And he's always home for dinner isn't he?" Menou replied, eating some of her scrambled eggs.

Edward gave up, brushing his white bangs out of his face and began eating. He wondered how his mother got such strength. He had met his friend's mom and they weren't nearly as strong. In fact thinking about it what did he really know about his mother? She had never talked about her past to him.

A curiosity started to bubble in him, some what like the way he felt when he was dissecting something. He finished his eggs and orange juice, politely excusing himself from the table and gave his mother a kiss on the cheek. She smiles, her blue eyes glittering.

He never knew why she was so satisfied with something so small of affection. He then left his home, heading for the garage. Where his own mecha girl he made waited for him, turned off.
