His past: (Family life: )
Ryoji Kawasaka was born to a British man and a Japanese woman. Raven Jett, a captain of a sea ship, a British man who traveled for both business purposes and for his own enjoyment. He had traveled to Japan once to explore the cultural streets of the Asian country. Raven met the women by the name Miwa Kawasaka on his trip. She worked at a local flower shop. And yes, it was love at first sight. Raven spent two years in Japan to live with her. They never married though but they did stay together. Soon two years was four years and then they finally had a kid. A beautiful and healthy boy, he had blue eyes and blond hair. He looked like his father but he took mostly after the mother. Another two years had gone by and things became rocky between Raven and Miwa. The love between his mother and father faded away and the mother grew ill soon. The father was constantly out about in the towns whether he was going to bars or going to parties. Ryoji's grandparents from his mother's side moved in and took care of the ill mother and raised the young boy.
Six months gone by and not a word was heard from the father, he left without a single word or even left a note. And long before that time Ryoji's mother passed away. The grandparents took him the young boy in and raised him as their own. His grandmother taught him how to read, cook, and basic math. He was very bright and caught on very quickly at his age. His grandfather taught him to build things, to hunt, and how to fight. Those lessons took longer than he expected but he soon was keeping up and improving daily. On his 7th birthday he was enrolled into school so he could get a proper education and mingle amongst children his own age.
(School years: )
All throughout his elementary years he was constantly picked on and teased due to his bright hair and eyes. Normal Asian children had dark hair and eyes. Ryoji was awkwardly quiet when young which only made the bullying worse in his case since he never defended himself. While other kids played together during recess, he would sit quietly alone inside the classroom and read books. When he was at the age of ten, his grandparents had passed away. They left everything they ever owned all to him.
In middle school, it was the longest two years of his life. He was yet again teased and bullied in middle school only this time he fought back and defended himself. He was constantly fighting and getting suspended. The teachers would always worry about him, he was at the top of his class yet he is always fighting and getting into all sorts of trouble. In his second year of middle school, he began working doing odd jobs like delivering things or fixing things. It wasn't exactly the kind of job a young teenager liked but it kept food on the table and it kept a roof over his head.
Ryoji dreaded another 4 long years of school, he had entered high school. He still wasn't accepted by his odd looks and he was constantly bullied even more. He continued to get into fights and getting in trouble. The school instead of deciding to kick him out, kept him after school constantly having him do all sorts of chores as punishment. During school days, he wore his uniform but at home he wore traditional Japanese clothing. Even in high school, Ryoji excelled amongst his peers and had graduated with high honors.
(Present day: )
Ryoji today is still doing tasks for others and his side job is a waiter. He works two jobs to keep a roof over his head and to keep food on the table. His work clothes are all black when he is out doing tasks for other people. He wears western formal clothes as a waiter, which is a blouse, a vest, a pair of shoes, and slacks. When Ryoji is not working, he is usually seen wearing his traditional Japanese attire. On his spare time he is usually in the kitchen cooking, in the main room reading, or in his room sleeping.
Ryoji has a huge fear of being in small spaces since during his elementary years, he was constantly locked inside the janitor's closet throughout the whole day and night. His other great fear is the living dead. He dislikes anything that has to do with the dead or cemeteries. That fear was brought on during his years as a middle school student. Local gang dragged him to a cemetery and forced him to sleep a whole night in an open grave.
He is also terrified of the mafia/yukaza. Back when he first started high school, he was at home doing homework when a group of strange men broke in. They tied him up, beat him up till he could no longer, then robbed him home taking all the priceless antique items. Ever since then he's been terrified of them and tries his best to keep his distance from them.
Ryoji has a great love for books, especially ones with happy endings. He hopes that he'll have a happy ending when it comes. He also has a strong passion for cooking. The time his grandparents were alive, he enjoy cooking every day with his grandmother. Learning new dishes was always entertaining for him. And the other best part was eating the meal after-wards.
Ryoji also owns two necklaces, one that was mysteriously delivered to him on his 18th birthday. Carved behind the pendant was the words "Master's Pet". Though, he thought it was weird, he still kept it. The jewel inside the pendant was purple. His other necklace is very sentimental to him. It was a heart-shaped locket. One side had a picture of his deceased mother, the other side was him when he was little and his grandparents.
As of lately, Ryoji has been interested in cross-dressing. He loves fashion and making unique outfits. He's favors clothes from England, he has grandparents who send him lavish and stylish clothes. He has two separate closets, one for his traditional Japanese clothing and one for his fancy clothes from England. He's also fascinated in the art of ballet. He loves going to ballet recitals in Japan and watching how the young men and women bend and stretch in such impossible ways. Ryoji contemplates sometimes on the idea of whether he should learn it or not.
(Astrological sign and personality: )
Despite his rebellious punk behavior, he's also a true romantic as well. Ryoji's sign is a Capricorn. Capricorn is sure-footed but only in an abstract cerebral sense. There is nothing airy-fairy about them. He is self-disciplined, able to plan and then achieve his self-imposed long-term goals, and these objectives will be sound, sensible, and practical ones. As a child, he was undoubtedly reputed to have an old head on a younger body. (Meaning Ryoji was mature for his age.) Strangely, he was probably a slow developer. He has complete faith in his own abilities and the possibility of failure simply does not exist for him. Ryoji does not attempt to hide his ambitions to obtain some form of appreciation and acknowledgment in society as a whole. In his drive to reach the top, he can even be ruthless with anyone who obstructs his progress. He will keep climbing until he reaches the top. Although he works hard and long, he is not blessed with a quick mind and he hates to be hurried. As a consequence, he prefers to work in a situation where he can plod along at his own steady pace. Ryoji avoids at all costs any situation in which he is expected to come up with a speedy answers to complicated questions. This will lead him only to depression and disillusionment. If this happens, he will retreat to the security and stability of his own home and the mainstays of his life.
