Personality (brief): cool under pressure, calm, incredibly/inhumanly patient, gentlemanly, always polite, seems to know about pretty much everything, has a lot of self-control, romantic, and in good humor for the most part but when angry or sad, he's unnervingly quiet/distant.

Darcy is a relatively young demon compared to most. In fact, Berenice is the first mortal he has ever made a contract with. His contract with Berenice thus comes to make a huge impact on him.
After coming to care for her as a child, Darcy develops an overprotective side. But what initially began as a desire for her soul becomes a desire for her heart. He falls deeply in love with his charge/contract-bearer. He over-acts and demonstrates exaggerated concern for Berenice so that at first, it comes off as incredibly humorous and even sarcastic. But there is a serious, sincere affection that underlies his actions.
Darcy is simultaneously saddened and thrilled by Berenice's increasingly solemn, cold demeanor. He misses the optimism of her childhood, but as a demon, he cannot despise the darkness in her nature. He accepts her completely for what she is. To remain with her forever, Darcy is determined never to consummate the contract and hopefully make Berenice a demon too.
Berenice is somewhat aware of his feelings, but she doesn't understand the gravity or seriousness of his emotions. She sometimes plays around with him, and though he doesn't say anything, he is hurt by her rejection. What Darcy doesn't know is that Berenice only wants to complete her revenge and leave this world before she, too, reciprocates his feelings.
The two currently occupy the vacant Phantomhive manor left by Ciel at the end of Kuroshitsuji II.
