sweatdrop Well, anyways, I have a headache right now, so I should make entry twenty-five short and sweet so I can go rest my head... Owie... Maybe banging my head on a wall wasn’t such a great idea...
cry Today is 10/17/2010... It is 10:51pm... And I need to take some pain killers... -goes off to find some pain killers-
Guess what? It was our marching band’s second tournament yesterday! It was such awesomesauce!
blaugh Before we had the tournament, we had to go over our show at school in the morning for two hours. I wore my black
Westview Gold polo shirt, a pair of jean shorts, and a pair of black knee-high socks. It was drizzling that morning, so I also got my
Westview Gold jacket. I didn’t have time to make a breakfast, so I poured some cereal into a Ziploc bag and quickly grabbed my mom’s coffee mug and put hot milk in it. After getting all my things ready, I slipped on my black sneakers and headed out the door.
Oh, and you know how I mentioned that I got an important role in my band in my last entry? Well, that role was taken away from me... But, there is this one part in our show where I pretty much lead our entire band!

here, you’ll notice that towards the end, there are two giant lines and the entire band moves forward. Well, you see that flute-player in the middle of the field on the 50-yard line in the front row? Well, that person is me!!! Everyone in the front row has to make sure they are in line with me! That’s a very important role cuz if I’m in the wrong spot, then everyone in my line is wrong too! And guess what else? The person directly behind me leads the second row and he has to make sure that he is four steps away from me. So if I’m wrong, then he is wrong, which means everyone in his line is wrong too! I practically lead the ENTIRE BAND!!! No pressure... (insert sarcasm here)
rolleyes After rehearsal for two hours, we had a little break before we had to come back to school to board the buses to the tournament. Me, Adam, and Austin are carpool buddies and my mom had to bring us back home. But before we went home, we stopped by Rubio’s Mexican Grill to pick up lunch.
After dropping off the two boys and getting home, my mom had to go back to school with my gramma cuz they had to help fix the band’s uniforms. So that meant about 5 hours of being home alone! WHOO!
mrgreen I didn’t do much while I was at home. Just eat the chicken taquitos I got at Rubio’s and go on the computer. I logged onto Gaia and Facebook. I eventually started to get tired, so I took a quick nap. After my nap, Austin called me saying that Adam’s dad was picking me up rather early. So I put on my black tights under my shorts, prepared my bag, and we were soon on our way to school.
Once we arrived at school, we had a lot of extra time to kill, so I wrote my secret pal letter to Melissa; she is one of the freshman fluties! ~♪ If you haven’t noticed it already, I’m REALLY talkative, so I practically wrote a paragraph to her!
xd After I finished writing the letter, I hung around with my friends as we waited for everyone else to arrive.
Then it was time to board the buses. But right before we boarded the buses, I started to get a headache... >____< I tried to ignore it, but it hurt really bad... I sat next to Tina on the bus and we watched an episode from this one anime called Fushigi Yuugi on her iPod. That really wasn’t such a good idea, cuz I kinda have motion sickness... Everytime I stare at something up-close for a long period of time, my tummy starts to feel funny...
Then we arrived at the tournament! This tournament took place at a high school called Rancho Buena Vista. We got a little bathroom break, then it was time to head to our warm-up area for stretching and going over marching basics.
After that, we got changed into uniforms. While I was putting on my jacket, I heard someone calling my name. I turned around and saw my aunt!!!
4laugh Apparently my cousin, Jo, was there! I was soooooooooooo excited!
whee But my aunt wanted to see my mom, but she wasn’t there. Had to finish changing, so my aunt left. Once everyone was ready, we headed back to our warm-up area and rehearsed our music.
Then, it was time... We headed to the football stadium and waited our turn. We got in three lines then entered the field.

I can’t remember much of what happened during our show. Once we got off the field, we got into two big lines and went to our spot in the parking lot where the uniform racks were. Our marching coach, Marty, congratulated us on how well we did and we cheered lots!
biggrin After getting changed out of our uniforms, it was time to head to the stands and wait for the award ceremony.
While we waited for the ceremony to start, we watched some of the 6A bands perform their shows and me and some friends got some food. We went up to the stands with our food and tried to find a dry place to sit, but it was drizzling, so we had to bear with it... :p
So then it was the award ceremony! And guess what? WESTVIEW GOT 3RD PLACE!!! WAAAAAAAAHHH!!!
rofl Hey, third place is not that bad! Besides, it’s still pretty early in the marching season and there were more than three 5A bands there! (And, just in case you’re wonderin’, Mira Mesa got first. Their show is pretty good! They even won sweepstakes!)
We went back to school once the ceremony was over. I listened to music on Tina’s IPod on the bus ride back. We went to the band room, talked about our show real quickly, then go home.
I didn’t do much after that. Just get changed and rest. The next day, however, I was feeling awfully sick...
xp yucky... I’m still pretty sick right now, but I’m sure I’ll get better soon!
