We had to put our kitten, Nishiki, to sleep a few days ago.
The night before, I stepped on her going down our stairs and I think it sent her into a shock.
We took her to the vet today and they found out...alot more was wrong with Nishiki than what she let us know about herself.
The vet told Oba (I was at school) that she was very sick, and had been for a very long time.
She had an ear infection in both ears, her teeth were rotten, and she was there in body but Nishiki herself wasn't...like her mind was gone.
It kills me to think that she was gone because...she kept crawling to me last night and this afternoon when I went to say goodbye.
It killed me to think that she was in so much pain.
We had another option to go about trying to save her, but it was only a "might" and it would have cost about 8,000 dollars...and we didn't have the money.
So on March 10, 2005, about 3:35 p.m., we said goodbye to Nishiki.
It's very hard for me to be in my room and not here her beathing, asleep on my bed. It's hard thinking she's not here anymore.
I love you so much Nishiki, and I'll miss you. We all will.
