My birthday came and went and I barely noticed it (it was March 7th if you dident know) and none of you people sent me any presents xp !

I dont care if you got me presents or not (but I really wish you would comment stare ). I really wouldnt normaly care that it was my birthday, I mean they come every year right? Only this year I turned 18 years old!
Yes, I am now offically considered an adult. I suppose I should be happy for this and up untill now I was! But today I got a differant idea about this.
This evening at dinner, my father and little brother were having a conversation about safety. All parents are concered for thier child's well-being, whether we realize it or not. Then my little brother said to my father "What about her?" pointing to me. "You never bug her about this stuff!"
And then my father said something to me I dont think I'll ever forget. "Its not my responsibilty anymore. Anthing you do now you do on your own."
Thats right. I can no longer rely on my parents. They will always protect me, but from now on if I make a mistake, I have to pay the price, not them.
Thats a big responsiblity. My life was always my own and I could make whatever decisions I wanted but now if I screw something up its up to me to fix it. I can ask for help but only I can fix my problems.
