First entry in like 3 years. Gaia, I'm back. I'm not the same person, by a long shot, but I still plan on keeping it real and sharing the wisdom and adventure I've happened upon during my days here on this earth. February 15th, 1:12 am. I am up right now because I don't want to sleep. I finally have a few hours to myself tomorrow with which I can sleep in late and I plan to. I wanted to post a bit of my 'growth journal' that I picked up yesterday at church for the Gaian world to see. I don't know...maybe it'll help someone. The concept is you take one verse of scripture from the Bible, give your thoughts and pray to God on what you feel you can gain from applying the verse to your life. I'm not going to do any quoting. Pick up the Bible and read it for yourself. The chapter is Matthew Ch 16:1 and it talks about people who place more faith in what they see and what they think than what God says. It's a common problem. It's an inherited problem. Generation after generation, throughout all the legacies of man, there have been people have doubted the power and very existence of God. They see no proof. They see no 'evidence'. They have no hard fact. So there for it is so hard for them to wrap their minds around something that they can not grasp with their 5 senses. In chapter 16 these people who think they own the town start to question Jesus on who he is and on who's authority He has the right to say what he says. And they want to see proof that He is the Messiah. Well He tells them, essentially, there is no proof. There's no sign. There's no miracle He could perform that would convince them of His divinity. They were just too cold hearted and closed minded to accept it. He said, either you believe it or you don't. It takes guts to lead the Way. You need to adopt child like faith, which is the notion that even though you can't explain it and even though you don't understand it, it doesn't mean that it's not real. You need to essentially turn your back on your own understanding of the world and your own assumptions and accept concepts that are utterly foreign to you in order to get it. There is no simple solution. There is no try it before you buy it, I'll make a believer out of you gimmick. There's no demonstration. He just wants you to come and follow Him because it's the only way to truly live. You gotta take His Word for it. Believe him. You get your lifetime warranty free of charge. In fact salvation doesn't cost a thing. You just have to make that choice. Everyone qualifies. Everyone's pre-approved. There's no way you can get turned down. So if you fit those shoes, don't hesitate. You're missing the boat. Climb aboard. May God bless you.
