Today, I had to make a presentation in English class based on a book that I've read for about a month in book clubs during English. So one of the books that I've read ( well, really, it was a mini- story story) but anyways, it was called "The ugly one" So, this story, was basically about a girl whose name was Asia and she was basically always tormented because of her looks, her not being the most prettiest girl in school. She would always get called pimple face, and frankly, really treated like dirt based on her looks. So to escape her problems, she created this imaginary boyfriend in order to be accepted by someone even though that 'someone' may not an actual human being. She feels going into her own world, she'd be accepted by someone, and actually have someone look at her like the way she wants to be treated, and not hate her for who she truly is.
So that's basically the mini short summary of the book; so now onto the presentation part, eh?
Well, I basically had to present that story, and what I thought the deeper meaning was to an adult, either a complete stranger, or a actual teacher in the school. So, I got my physics teacher, lucky; so I wasn't really that nervous to present after that. After the presentation, they ask questions to push your learning a little father, and basically the challenging part of the presentation.
So my physics teacher asked me a question which was : "what's the difference between an imaginary boyfriend, and a real one?"
and I said I really don't think there's a basic difference. I think basically all girls have that image in our heads of the perfect boyfriend, and someone we seek that has all our "perfect" qualities but in reality, no guy can actually be ALL of our qualities, and really, most of the time if you're lucky enough, a guy meets some of our qualities but whether we like it or not, everyone has their own flaws, eh?
I guess my basic reason for this journal entry to sum it all up is: For the girls out there; when we're really lucky enough to find that "perfect" guy, that meets most of our qualities in life, it's an amazing feeling; and something you'd cherish? You know, eh? I guess it also goes for guys out there, too when they meet that special girl? Hmm? Anyways, guess that's it; sorry if this is really long. o__o
