At first I never knew what he was talking about, probably because I never led a group of people, or let myself be led, until I joined Team Tenma. "Throw a tantrum Tornado Sylph." The wind picked up once again as we neared the cliff, such an odd time for you to be having a daydream and reminisce about the past, I chuckle as I think to myself and I look over to my left to see Ryu calling for me.
"King, yo King you there." There he goes using that god awful nickname again. "Yeah what is it, Ryu?" I said looking over the cliff that overlooked the war that was happening right in front of us. "What were you thinking about?" The ice user asked. "At first I was thinking about the time you came and recruited me." I heard him chuckle. "I remember that time, it was a fun fight, then what else was you thinking about." He followed up with, and Kai on his left just smirking and giving the occasional chuckle.
"Next I was thinking about an old saying a leader once told me, and that I'm just now realizing what it meant." "Sounds like a wise man, what happened to him." Kai asked "He was a wise old man." I jump down into the war and started fighting, the other two soon joining me, and we sent ourselves to different parts of the battlefield. When I landed, it was calm at first seeing how the enemy was evaluating their potential backup or threat. Instead of waiting for them to finish the evaluation I raised Tornado Sylph and used her wind powers to cut five men's head off , all from the different factions and it became clear that I was a major threat.
Three men rushed me weapons in striking stance, i smirked and easily sidestepped their attacks before stabbing one through the side making sure I hit vitals "A punctured lung with broken ribs....yeeaaah you are not going live through that." I pulled Sylph out and kicked the man into one of his buddies and dodged another two attacks from another faction, looks like the fighting on my side has begun again. I sigh my mind starts to wander, normally I wouldn't do that but these guys are so pathetic compared what I'm used to that I just can't help it. I parry one their attacks and counter, he dodged and managed to counter my counter, I smile not about the fact that this guy was able to do that but I remembered my first time meeting the other Tenmas.
The counter attack the soldier sent would've ended somebody of his position or lower, but I'm not somebody lower than him, I easily moved my head and sent a glare at him before lightly palming his hand and crushing his face with a wind sphere, keeping the blood and brain matter in the sphere so as to not mess up my clothes, after I dropped his lifeless corpse, I go back to thinking and letting my body fight on an automatic movement. I continued to think about when I first the Tenmas, my thoughts went to all of the original members; Tasai, Kasai, Kuro, Sen, Amichi, Maksio, Rai and Ryu.
I ducked another attack and cut the man's legs from under him leaving to him bleed out to death. I thought back to when I first got to the base, it was crazy and hectic, my brother Revvinon would've loved it there. Another soldier died from being stabbed in the heart, not by me though, it seems like they still wish to kill each other as well.
As the battles raged on the soldier either retreated or being killed off, the numbers started to dwindle down and the better fighters was making themselves know on my side of the field. All the while I had been thinking about my life with the mercenaries, that is until I got high intent to kill from behind me and I instinctively ducked, barely dodging a black and blue Guan Dao, that was being wielded by a man riding a horse.
"So you must be the one my men was talking about." His voice was far to gentle for him to be using a weapon like that. "And if I am?" I responded not dropping my guard and keeping my eye locked the target, he got off his horse slowly "Why didn't you attack me as I got off my horse, you could've easily killed me then." He smiled and I shivered lightly "Don't bullshit me, you was prepared for an attack all the while, if I had rushed you, I would've been hurt easily." I glared even harder at him and he chuckled "I guess you are right." We both was moving to take up a battle stance when some arrow came at. Both me and the Guan Dao user jumped back and looked at the direction where the arrows came from and we saw a person that had two crossbows, one heavy and the other light, on their side and their back was a FN SCAR light version. "May I join in?" Judging from the sound of her voice she was female and a foreigner at.
