I can tell it was influenced by recent conversations with people. It's kinda strange how it came out. O_o

It was a cool evening. We were standing outside my old house (which for some reason was on a river that was as big as a lake) waiting for something. I was part of a modern Indian tribe. On either side of us more tribes were gathering, dressed in futuristic war gear. Beside me was a man that I did not know, yet was deeply in love with. He seemed profoundly sad. I felt his sadness and reached out to touch him. His skin was hot to the touch, which seemed rather odd. When he noticed I was touching him, he pulled away, sadness deepening. I brushed his long, curly hair away from his face and kissed him passionately. He pulled me close and whispered he will love me forever.
Suddenly there was a slight vibration in the ground. We looked up the street and saw the one of the other clans stiffen as they looked up the street also. The vibration got stronger and there was electricity in the air. Everyone was on edge. We could see a fleet of massive ships sailing down the river. (They looked like the Spanish carrack ships.) A couple stopped at each tribe. Spanish men came off the ships and started talking to the chiefs of the tribes. They all decided to meet and discuss battle plans. While they were in their meeting, the man I was in love with pulled me aside.
“There is a small boat hidden under the house. I want you to take that and get as far away as you can” he said.
“Why? Where will you be?” I asked.
“I’m going to stand up and fight!” he replied.
“Please come with me. I don’t know if I could survive without you.”
“No, I must stay and fight. It’s the only way I can secure your future. I love you. Never forget that. Meet me at the meeting point in a day’s time.”
With that, he walked away.
Frustrated, I ran around in the house gathering enough food and supplies for two people. I was determined to get him to come with me. All of a sudden there was a huge booming sound. I ran to a window and I saw hover cars with police sirens zooming by, firing on anyone outside. I ducked down so I couldn’t be seen and ran to where the boat was hidden. I rowed the boat while watching the massacre unfold. My heart sunk and I started to mourn for my lover. I turned away from the slaughter and headed towards the meeting point.
I didn’t hear the whirring of the hover car until it was too late. It zoomed past, knocking me out of my boat. It turned around and opened fire on the boat, destroying it. I grabbed what I could and began swimming. After a few minutes I noticed there were others in the water, too. One by one they each seemed to bob down under water. Panic started creeping through me. I swam as fast as I could to the nearest shore. Before I got there, I noticed ripples behind me that weren’t caused by me. Something then brushed my feet. Immediately I knew what it was-crocodiles. I felt it brush me again so I kicked as hard as I could, which propelled me forward far enough I was able to get away. Once I reached the shore I collapsed, crying.
Once I found the strength to get up, I walked through the woods towards the meeting point. Along the way I saw people running and trying to hide from the invaders. I didn’t care anymore. My body was there, but my brain wasn’t. A guy was trying to go down a very steep hill but he slipped and fell by some cacti. He called for help, but no one came. I watched for a while, and then I went to help him when I saw no one else would. He thanked me and ran off towards a small town in the middle of the woods. Curious about the town’s fate, I followed. All that was left of the town was a large nursery. I walked into the nursery and searched all the rooms. I was walking out of the building when I heard a faint cry. I stopped and looked around me, looking for a toy that could have made the noise but I couldn’t find one. I heard the cry again-it sounded like it was coming from above me. I went to see what it was. The room I walked into was filled with cribs. I looked in all of them, but no one was there. I noticed a small door between two cribs. I walked in and there was a lone crib in the tiny room. I looked in the crib and the most beautiful baby girl I had ever seen was staring back at me. I immediately knew her as my child, even though I had never seen her before. I picked her up and ran out of the nursery.
I then resumed my journey on the trail to where I was supposed to meet my love. On the way, I started hearing strange whirring. I ducked down into some thick brush. Just as I got out of view twelve hover cars zoomed past. They didn't see me, but there were others in the woods that weren’t as lucky. They were killed on the spot. I decided to keep low and off the small trail.
I finally reached the meeting point deep in the woods behind a waterfall. I camped there with my child for 3 days before he came. He was badly bruised and had some cuts on his body, but he ran up and hugged me tightly anyway, no matter how much it hurt. He saw the baby, kissed her and said “I’m glad you got our daughter, I was worried about her. I looked for her everywhere.” He wrapped his arms around me and held me tight. His warmth penetrated my body. His lips met mine and we kissed for what seemed like hours. “Now we need to get out of here,” he said.
We gathered a few supplies and went on our way. A few days later we came upon a forest of Sequoia trees. “Here is perfect,” he said. We made a nice sleeping place in a hollow of one of the trees and rested. The next day we started gathering wood to make a home for ourselves and we built a house high in the trees. A little less than a year went by and we had another child, a boy.
There were many small settlements of humans that had survived the onslaught. Once we regained our numbers we fought back against the invaders and we won.

I never learned my loves name or the name of my children. :c
I don't remember the faces, either. I just remember the incredible love I had for them.
