Here We Are, But We're Still Lost
I have spilled my heart on this journal and now I am making it public. I doubt what you will find will interest you much. It's only my battered soul. Lol, sorry, that was really angst, wasn't it?
White Plain of Sadness

A white plain stretched on before me. Knee deep in snow and stretching on far beyond the eye could see. Forever, I thought. I will be lost here forever.

Across the plain the wind moaned, sweeping up a sigh of white snow into my face. The beautiful snow crystals slashed at my skin, biting sharply against my tan face. I was not use to harsh weather like this. Not the ache that froze into my bones or the cold that crept along my toes and fingertips.

I tried to ignore the numbness crawling up my body and instead thought of home. Where even the winters were warm and the trees never lost their leaves. I thought of the lazy buzz of the bees and the aroma of flowers that clung sweetly and thickly to the air. A gentle breeze always brought a storm of scents that would test your senses. Overwhelm your nose until you could taste the flowers in your mouth like warm honey.

The wind blew again, wailing in my ears until I was screaming along with it. The force of the wind flung me backwards, battering me along with the tiny snow crystals. Slashing brutally at me until I was sure I would be torn apart.
