Chapter 5
Secrets Revealed
The night sky,black,and blank,due to the city lights.Ven hated the city,he liked it back home,where he would look up into the sky in the garden and see the stars,but within the city,it was very different.He noticed nobody was awake but him,and that he was alone,for the first time since he started his journey with one of his friends,and two complete strangers.This was five months ago,now Ven was able to lift his sword,and he also got a charm from a priest,a purification charm.It was a necklace of prayer beads,it didn't hurt Ven,but it hid his tail from people who could see demons.
For what seemed like hours,Ven stared at the sky,away from the city,watching the sky turn from block,to a dark blue,and then he realized it was nearly morning.He had watched the sky for a while,and decided to go to sleep,but it turned out,it was too late,and too early in the morning to fall asleep,for Lucian had woken up.
"Your up early..."He said sitting up from his lieing down position.
"Actually i never went to sleep."Ven said with a smug look on his face."Stared at the sky the entire night...then i decide to go asleep and find you awake."
"Early to bed,early to rise,thats what i believe in."Lucian said,he then stood up and stretched his arms a little.He looked at the sky and noticed just how early he had woken up."Of course...i normally dont wake up this early..."
"Yea right!I bet you always wake up this early!"Ven said laughing.Lucian had times where he was just joking,and then times where he was more serious about things.But then again,that was his personality.
The two talked for a while and Lucian learned why a boy so young was going on a dangerous journey with few friends.It took him a while to realize what the revenge was for,but he was able to get why he was doing it."Well...your not going to get your revenge by looking at the sky all night,right?"
"Right..."

During the day,they had traveled through a new city,one with plenty supplies for their journey,and they even spent the night there in a hotel.Some people in the group were overjoyed.
"Finally...we get to sleep in a bed!"Ven said excitedly.
"Yup,we should all share a room."Erika suggested.
"And do what exactly?"Zodishya questioned
"We can do all sorts of things!"Erika was finally able to express her happiness about the idea,all at once.
"Like?"Zodishya said,optimisticly,looking at Erika as if she were crazy.
"Well...i have no clue..."Erika said.

After they stayed in the hotel,they departed from the city and couldn't reach another for what looked like a few more days.They set up camp and Ven,as usual when in the wilderness,stayed awake when everyone went to sleep,and looked at the night sky.The beauty of the sky just calmed him down,after all,he was full of hate towards Satan.He nearly forgot what he was fighting for each time,and each time,he was calm.
That night wasn't ordinary,for the conditions they were in now,especially for him.During the night,he heard the bushes rustle and he payed no mind to it.When he had heard them rustle again he looked over towards them and didn't see anything,of course,it was pitch black within the area outside the light of the fire.He got up slowly,and then drew his blade as he walked towards the bushes.
With no hesitation he lunged at the bushes and from the bushes,came Zodishya.But....what was he doing?
"What are you doing?!"Ven shouted,waking up everyone else at the same time.
"Shut up!You'll wake the others!"He said grabbing Ven and pulling him away from the camp,with many complaints coming from Ven.Once they were a pretty good distance away from the camp,Zodishya let go of Ven's arm and told him what he was doing.
"I was scouting the area,after all...i can see in the dark right?"He said pointing out the obvious,as usual."But i saw something unusual,and decided to get you and tell you about it...but since you woke the others...i guess there is no point,i will go tell them,but see that light over there?"He said pointing over to a small light,anyone who could see that far didn't need to be a cat,or a cat demon for that matter.
Ven nodded."Get close to it,but wait for me to show up with everyone else,alright"Zodishya said.
"Yea...sure."He said,ansd once Zodishya left,he started walking towards it.
Zodishya eventually caught up with Ven,with Erika,and Lucian behind him.Lucian was smirking within the darkness."Woke me up for this huh?Whatever...it should be good..."He said,before looking ahead.
"Shut up Lucian...they woke us both up for this..."Erika complained.
"Shut up!All of you!Just look within the range of the light."Zodishya said,and then the group looked within the fire's light.
"Trevion?"Lucian said walking into the light.
