E t y m o l o g y Noctis' name is derived from three Latin words: Nox (Night), Lux (Light), and Caelum (Heaven/Sky). If you were to read the phrase exactly, "noctis lucis caelum" would read "night light heaven/sky", or better yet "night light sky". Now the words, noctis, mean's "of the night". Lucis means "of light". So putting those two words together would mean "of the night light". The words "of the" indicates that they are possessive word and something belongs to them, which in this case, is Caelum (Sky).
The meaning of the name is The accurate translation for Noctis Lucis Caelum is Sky of the Night Light.
"Let me put it this way: The word Lucis does not suggest that the word "Light" belongs to something, it implies it. Word order in Latin is actually quite irrelevant; the only thing that truly matters is the inflection case. Granted, the phrase Noctis Lucis Caelum can either mean "Sky of the Night Light" or "Sky of the Light Night". But it can never have "Light" as the vocative noun (ie it can never mean "Light of the Night Sky" or "Light of the Sky Night" wink . It simply cannot according to Latin rules of declension."

Noctis usually appears having a stoic expression. His face shows little to no emotion however, his true nature proves otherwise. He is not emo. He is not a "Cloud". He is a different kind of protagonist. In reality, Noctis is an ordinary young man that is very shy to strangers, somewhat like most people, though he masks this nature with a "cool" facade. With that being said, he sometimes acts over confident and overestimate his own strength, leading him to act recklessly in battle. Like many others, his personality shifts when surrounded by friends; from that of being an enigma, to becoming a social and talkative individual. While fighting, Noctis is extremely callous and barbarous. He is seen snapping necks and impaling enemy soldiers. Living up to his title as Guardian, he shows that he is completely merciless to those who try to oppose him.
Nomura states that "will have a strong and distinctive personality, and will not be a "silent, gloomy little boy"."

Ⅰ. Don't randomly add me, especially if your profile is on private; Talk to me first to give me a reason to add you. Ⅱ. Despite what I said above, I'm open to friendship and pretty talkative. I usually accept friend's request from FF cosplays as long as I have some idea of who you are. However if we don't keep in touch, you will be removed from my friend list. Ⅲ. Don't plagiarize my profile content and copy my coding and claim them as your own. I know who you are /:
Copying I know there are some items that are needed to have an accurate cosplay, but don't copy my avatar ideas. I was the first to use these sets for my avatar and I try my best to be unique by using different item combinations for all my outfits other than the typical items that others use. This isn't a competition. No one likes to be copied. Have an ounce of creativity and stop copying others.
If you feel this message is directed toward you, then it probably is. Be original. Get creative. /rantover.
