Growth in God
Basically charting my growth in God
The Nature of Salvation
There is no Grace without Faith, but surely faith without works is dead(for it is proven to be no faith at all)

some would argue that we are not saved by works, which I would agree, we are saved by grace through faith, but faith lives by the deeds which we prove ourselves by. For the conditions of salvation are found under turning from your sins. If one does not do this act of turning away from then obviously they have not repented and the faith is not of them.

We will see this very notion defended by Christ "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit."-John 15:2

Again by Paul "if indeed you continue in [a]the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard" -Colossians 1:23

Yet again by James "24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25 In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead." -James 2:24-26

What of the verses which, as spoken in Ephesians, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;" -Ephesians 2:8

But then lets be reminded of Paul in Romans saying "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law." - 3:28

We find here works defined by that of the law. Good works will not save us, for surely, as is reminded later "None are good, no not one" as well as Jesus own word "Why call me good? There are none good but the Father." For surely in my nature, apart from God, cannot be made in God. Only by being made part of God through faith, may my nature be made purified towards the works of God by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Let us not forget either Paul reminding us in Romans that God will have "Mercy on whom He will have mercy and compassion on whom He will have compassion." - Romans 9:15 For it is not by our deeds that we save ourselves, it is of His choice that we are saved.

Though let us not forget where His choice lies, as is spoken clearly in John, "For whomsoever believes in Me should not perish but have everlasting life." and again spoken clearly "“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life." and again Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me."
