Bio
From the very beginning, Emmaline was not an ordinary girl. She was born with the meta-gene, a mutation which caused her skin and eye color to rapidly shift into a snake-like appearance. She was orphaned at the age of eight, spending the majority of her time in and out of foster homes until she turned sixteen and abandoned the care of her foster parents. She turned to the streets which inevitably lead her to a life of crime. Within this time she joined several different gangs and even found work with some of Gotham's most notorious villains such as Black Mask, Riddler, and even the Joker at one point or another. But at the end of the day, even when she surrounded herself with people who were 'different', none of them fully accepted her. At least not until she met Desdemona Crane. Emmaline had only heard rumors of an underground fighting ring being run by a mysterious woman, though she never imagined it to be quite as liberating as it turned out. She had been an outcast, a freak all her life, but in the ring, she was a star. Each night the crowd cheered as she slaughtered her every opponent. The fame became intoxicating, she couldn't get enough. Inevitably, her popularity caught the attention of Madame Crane herself, though she'd been under the guise of Anna R. Key. She approached Emmaline, making her an offer to help kick off the start of a new reign in Gotham.
Powers and Abilities:
Shape-shifting
Most of Emmaline's abilities are limited since she's still learning how to use them. She can only shape-shift into something she's had time to analyze thoroughly, usually animals (a snake being her animal of choice) but she can occasionally shift into people, though it takes more effort.
Paralysis
Her eyes gives her the ability to paralyze anyone who looks directly into them, but this is also limited. She can only paralyze them as long as she can concentrate solely on the victim.
Street Smarts
Because she spent most of her life working in the underground, she has more insight regarding other villains, mob leaders, and various information concerning crime related matters. She's also a skilled fighter. She's stronger than the average human and more agile.
