A Lover's Life Lost (Fanfic)
His body draining of life as I stood over his body, watching the light drain quickly out of his bright green eyes. Sometime later, weather it had been a few minutes or a few hours I stood there watching his body twitch and blood bubble out of his wounds. I looked down to my hands and licked my fingers clean of the lycan's blood.

His blood ran through me like white hot metal, I scooped up a bit of his blood and drank it quickly. I was about to drink more but I heard the sound of horses coming my way and I stopped. In about three seconds flat a larger black steed thundered to a halt in front of me, its hot breath licking across my face and exposed shoulders.

"Sonja, what on earth happened here?!?" I sat down in a large puddle of lycan blood and smiled.

"He forced himself on me or tried to anyways, I ripped him apart." I giggled softly and smiled. I knew Farthus knew I was lying and i had ripped him apart to drink his blood.

"Why do you love their blood so much little Sonja?" I dipped my fingers in the unfortunate lycan's blood and licked my fingers clean.

"I don't know why really but their blood is like white hot metal running through me when I drink it." Farthus picked me up and wrinkled his nose.

"Don't let your father smell your breath, you smell like dog through and through." I looked at him and giggled happily.

"Good, I hope that he does. One day I will make a new race of creatures!" I laughed and almost fell off the horse. Farthus reach behind him and smacked my legs lightly and playfully.

"Don't let your father hear you, you demon child of the night. You are only one year above the child bearing age, you must not think of things like that, ever! If one of the council members heard you they would put you into the sun chamber and watch you burn!" I gasped, this was the first time he had spoken so harshly to me and it scared me.

"My father would never do that to me!"

"Oh but he has before to people he liked as much as he likes you little Sonja. I just don't want you to get hurt." He sighed as his eyes went from crystal clear blue to a light blue-grey. His hollow orbs showed no sign of anything but tears that could not be shed because his tear ducts had closed from all the venom he had been injected with. All of the death dealers thought they were invincible and therefore Victor made it so they could show no sympathy, compassion or cry.

I didn't know what to say the rest of the ride I thought about the greater race that I could create if I fused the lycan and vampire bloodlines together in one person,

'The strength of a lycan, the swiftness of a vampire. It would still have to feed but a lot less then vampires and it could also eat and interact better with the humans. They would be totally superior to everyone else. Now all I need to do is find a lycan that I can trust and also that I can control. Father thinks none can be trusted but once things change with one of the lycans I might be able to do what I want.'

I thought as Farthus pulled me down off the horse and I ran up to my room to get clean. Soon after I got into my room my nurse maid Lillian came walking in quickly.

"How may I help you Sonja?" She said before she looked up from closing the door, when she looked up she gasped. "Sonja! Is the more lycan blood spilled from the top of your hair, down your face and mouth and across your clothes and body?" I nodded and smiled, I couldn't help it if I loved their blood and with them the only way to get it is to kill them.

"Sorry Lillian, I killed again, you know how it is, the only way to get blood is to kill them and isn't it a good thing to kill lycans? Father always said, 'The more dead lycans us vampires can survive.' Wasn't he right?" Lillian looked at me and laughed.

"Oh child, you are never satisfied are you?" I giggled before pulling off my blood soaked clothes and stretched, the dried blood cracking and some falling onto the floor around me.

"Not yet, I will by once I have joined the bloodlines." Soon I was scrubbed, my hair and teeth brushed and I was laying in bed yawning.

"Lillian, do you think it is possible to successfully mix the bloodlines?" Lillian nodded and kissed my forehead as she got up to leave the room, she said something before she left but I was already to much asleep to hear her.
