Pokemon RP-profile page A cool breeze made its way through Gabriello's ebony hair, lifting up the feathery pieces in a salute to the sky. His steel grey eyes slowly slid across the horizon, searching for the sandy shores of Rhythm Town. The layout of Pandonia was embedded in the forefront of Gabi's mind for the previous night he had studied the map given to him by one of the sailors of the S.S. Anne. The motor of the boat hummed gently and the waves licked at the hull of the boat, occasionally sending small sprays of salty ocean water onto Gabi's face as he leaned over the white, weather-beaten railing. ___Peering deep beneath the waves, Gabi perceived a small shadow keeping pace with the ship. The shadow grew larger as it neared, and eventually broke, the surface of the water. The two large, obsidian-like eyes of Alainn, Gabi's beloved vaporeon, gazed up at the balcony of the ship. They suddenly disappeared again, for Alainn had dipped back below the water with a graceful twist, gently splashing up water up to Gabi. ___Standing up and straightening out his jacket, Gabi headed toward his cabin to gather his things—he had estimated the time of arrival based on their distance from shore and gave himself enough time to gather his things and pack them into his bags. He brushed his hand over the small pokéballs hanging from his belt, making sure that they were all still safely attached. Then, leaning over, he grabbed his bag by its strap and slung it onto his shoulder. He turned off the light in his cabin and shut the door gently behind him, making sure that it was locked. He took off toward the front cabin of the boat where they would collect his keys. ___The salty wind greeted Gabi as he stepped outside, causing him to stop for a moment. He headed back to the rail and called out Alainn’s name, holding out her pokéball as he did so. Even though the water pokémon preferred to stay by his side, he didn’t want her to get lost amongst the crowd of passengers as they rushed off of the boat and into the harbor of Rhythm Town. The quaint town rapidly came into view as the S.S. Anne neared the harbor; small shapes moved about in the port, going about their daily business. ___The gangplank smacked hard down onto the soaked wood of the dock and several sailors and their pokémon hurried down it to secure the ship. Gabi lifted his duffel bag off of the deck and walked down the ramp, far ahead of any of the other passengers who were still packing and turning in their keys. ___At the end of the dock, Gabi briefly consulted his mental map of Pandonia: ___Hmmm...after Rhythm Town there is Prelude Town, which contains the first gym in the league...In between the two towns is a direct path that runs through several fields of grass and close to a small forest....If I make good time, I can be in Prelude town by tomorrow evening. ___With this resolve, Gabi stepped off of the dock and onto the paved street that lead to the center of town. He reached down to his belt and gently pressed the circular button on center of the ball. An ocean-blue light flashed and a small flurry of bubbles floated out around a silhouette which soon faded into the water-proof skin of Alainn. Stretching, Alainn let out a small yip and started on a slow trot with Gabi following close behind.
... ___Before the sun broke the hold of night, Gabi was up from bed, quickly preparing for the day. Alainn was still curled up in a tight ball at the end of the bed when Gabi gently touched her side, waking her. She stuck out one aqua paw and threw back her head, opening her mouth in a roar-like yawn. She then stood up and arched her back, flicking her tail slowly back and forth as she prepared to jump of the cushy bed. Gabi turned back to his preparations and touched the door knob, looking back at Alainn before he opened the door. She hurried out in front of him and her webbed tail disappeared below the top of the stairs. Gabi pulled the door behind him and clicked it shut. The maid would be surprised at the perfectly made bed spotless bathroom when she came in to clean up. ___Leaving the bustle of Rhythm Town behind, Gabi and Alainn set off down the gently sloping road towards Prelude Town. After putting several miles behind him, Gabi reached down to his belt, softly sliding his finger across the slick surface of the homes of his pokémon. ___"Come on out Mal, Dhurta, Hrom, Leivos, and Nero" Gabi commanded in a low voice. ___He five pokémon all stretched and yawned, creating quiet a ruckus. Mallaithe, Gabi's shiny charizard, unfurled its large leathery wings and let out a small flame from between its teeth. Leivos, an archeops, scuttled up to Mal and playfully nipped at its tail and started up into the air, Mal following close behind. Hrom's spiky yellow feathers sparked and cracked with small charges running between them. It shifted from foot to foot nervously before finally (awkwardly) pushing off the ground. Dhurta uncoiled and slid into the tall grass alongside to road. Nero, floating a couple inches above the ground, just flashed a toothy grin at Gabi and stared at him creepily. Gabi gazed at him levelly and then brusquely turned back to the path and continued to Prelude town, knowing that his pokémon were just behind him.
... The sun began receding into its nocturnal home and was giving off beautiful and vibrant orange rays as a last celebration of the day. All of Gabi's pokémon, except Alainn, had already returned to their pokéballs for the day, worn out from their day of play. Gabriello paused just before he entered Prelude Town and took a deep breath. The small residential buildings gave way to the larger commercial sector, filled with shining mirror-windows that were on fire with the sun's glow. In the center of town, Gabi knew he would find the first gym of Pandonia, home to a fierce fighting gym leader. The sun was put out by the damp tendrils of darkness and soon the lamps that lined the street came to life. Gabi made his way to a small inn and rented a room. He slid his bag off of his shoulder and onto the carpeted floor. He undressed, slipping into a plain t-shirt and slipped into bed, wide awake...
Fruits Basket RP-profile page xx"Uuuuuuhhhhnnnn...." xxNoata rolled over on his stripped mattress, wearing nothing save a pair of thin black shorts and his glasses. Thick black drapes blocked the sun's rays from penetrating into Noata's dark sanctuary, yet he felt as if he were being slow roasted in an over-sized oven. xxWith much regret, Noata peeled himself off of the bed in search for solace from the heat. He gathered a white tee and his bag from a jumble of items that occupied most of the corner of his room. He quickly pulled it on and grabbed the back by its strap, dragging it across his junk-strewn floor. He slid open his door and stomped to the kitchen, hoping to find some cold treat. He dropped his bag on the floor and grabbed the handle of the icebox, sliding it open to reveal an unopened box of fruit-flavored popsicles. Grinning, he retrieved the colorful box from its icy home and slid his finger under the paper flap, savoring the popping noise created by the paper pulling apart from the glue. xxNoata grabbed a grape popsicle and shoved the box back into the icebox, his hand lingering in the pleasant cold. He pushed the door shut with his foot as he grabbed each edge of the white plastic and pulled the package open with a sharp tug. Grabbing the wooden stick with one hand, he removed the white plastic and tossed it in a nearby trashcan. xx"Mmmmmmmm" xxNoata closed his eyes in delight and savored the refreshing grape popsicle. After standing for a moment in the kitchen, he stooped down and grabbed the strap and slung his bag over his shoulder, adjusting the strap and digging through the bag to make sure that it contained his wallet, cellphone and keys. Then, reassured, he headed towards the front door. He placed his hand flat on the door and moved it right with a quick movement. xx"Auugghhh...ugh. I hate the heat. I hate the stupid A/C. I hate—aaarrrrggghhh." xxNoata took a couple of steps back as he was knocked back by a wave of heat that rolled into the house. Carefully and quickly, so his feet wouldn't get burned, Noata half-ran, half-jumped across the wooden walk to his sandals. After sitting down to secure his sandals to his feet, Noata rummaged beneath the step one-handed, being careful not to let the popsicle drip, and procured a white parasol and with a flourish, snapped open the much-needed covering. Pushing himself up, Noata walked towards the path that led through the Sohma garden to the front gate. Nearer to the door he heard a couple of voices, but by the time he reached it, the owners were gone. xxBZZZZZZZT. BZZZZZZZT. BZZZZZZZT. xxIn his surprise, Noata smacked at his bag, thinking that some sort of evil bug had made a home there. Realizing that his phone had gone off, he shoved his hand deep into the bag and grabbed the charm attached to his phone and yanked it up. His screen flashed, showing that one of his friends from school had texted him. xx"Oh." xxhey, u wnna meet up with akira ryou n me @ the mall? xxsure, on my way there, see ya xxNoata stuffed the phone in the front pocket of his shorts, leaving the charm dangling out. The promise of an air-conditioned mall put a skip in the rat's step as he hurried down the sidewalk in the sweltering summer afternoon. xx
