Dear Grandfather,
I was thinking of you today with all the elections going on and was thinking of how the world is changing. Whether it be for better or worse, it's changing. You left this awe inspiring world with many memories in your belt and although it's been years now since your passing, I can't help, but to feel that emptiness has yet to be filled. I doubt anything can fill that void in my heart from the loss of a man who fought for his country and was injured protecting it, fell in love, nurtured a child, suffer through the loss of a love and yet falling in love again. A man who suffered through pain and sickness to be there for his family and try to be there for his granddaughter's graduation. There will never be another man like you in my life, but that's alright. I've had you once and I was lucky. Love you grandfather with all my heart.
