45 years, it may seem a long time to someone with human mortality. But to the soul-born son of Fear Darkfangs, it was not long at all. To him, it felt more like he was 25 years old. He aged slower than any other being, the older he got, the slower he would age. It was a trait inherited by all Darkfangs children. Those of Fear's blood and soul. His name was Zero. Zero Darkfangs. 45 years ago, Fear had to split his soul into two pieces to make clear his soul of the darkness that had begun to consume him. When he did, part of his deepest soul manifested into a being all it's own. Gaining a physical permanent form, it gained self-awareness. It was Fear's son, his second born. Zero was given his name, for he had Zero limitations to his powers. He had all of Fear's natural abilities. And a few unnatural ones as well. He had Fear's eyes, his hair. His intelligence. It was like Fear had created himself, only eons younger.

Fear felt as though he would not be able to protect both his son and his daughter. So he bestowed Zero into the care of a dear friend and ally, Markus Frost, also known as Ark Nocturnus, the Fayeth of Blade and Thunder. For 45 years, Zero and Ark trained, perfecting his natural abilities, the ones he had gained from his father, and testing a few new abilities. Zero had all of the power of Fear, all of the speed, the sword skill, it was all natural to him. As it should be. And so, Zero gained power and accompanied Markus on his journies. Traveling around existence with his "uncle" Markus. Fighting by his side, sharing in his good times, and in his bad times. They fought together, they lived together, they bled together.

One day, Markus caught word of the Fayeth attacking Fear's family. He decided to let Zero know of his past. Fully. Hearing the tale, and understanding why Fear left him in Ark's care, Zero grabbed his weapons, rusted old worn blades, and prepared to leave with Ark. But Ark stopped him, taking his worn blades and tossing them into a river. He then pulled open a chest, locked by Fear himself and engraved with a single name. With crimson undercoated stone and golden lettering, the single name read out: ZERO.

Ark spoke in an ancient language, the locks on the chest opening and he reached inside, producing a blanket with the Darkfangs insignia upon it. Wrapped up inside the large blanket, well, more like a cloak, was a pair of swords. Each one gave off a powerful aura. It was two of Fear's own personal swords, that he had left Markus 45 years ago to give to Zero when he figured it was time for Zero to have earned them. And he had.

Following Ark, Zero and his uncle headed to aid his father. He hoped to arrive in time to make a difference... Time would tell..


Natural Enhanced Movement Capabilities: Fear has mastered the abilities that give him his great speed over many centuries, but still his foes always seemed to be surprised to find that Fear is usually a lot faster than he ever let on. His speed capable of leaving illusory images or dusted space where he would have once been standing. No teleportation, no portals, no rifts, just pure speed and movement of air and space is all Fear uses. Zero thankfully gained this ability from his Father.

Natural Mana Regeneration: Fear possesses the genetic trait that his mother carried, the ability to naturally regenerate mana. Fear constantly cycles his energy through his body to keep his energy free and ready to be used at a moment’s notice. By doing this, he creates a vortex of minor proportions that draws in the natural mana from the surrounding area and regenerates any mana that he has lost. This is a passive ability that occurs constantly. Zero inherited this passive skill from his father.

Angelic Energy: Fear’s mother, Fa`yenix, was a Celestial Ascended Demoness. She was a Celestial Angel that was turned into a Demon through her being with Jherikus in the Demon Realms. Her angelic powers were passed down to Fear but only on a minor scale.

Demonic Energy: Fear was born a pure demon, which gave him the natural capacity to control and manipulate demonic energy in multiple ways. However, Fear was born with an extraordinary amount of energy and his very presence caused the darkness of the Necrovoid to grow thicker and saturated with accelerated energy flows of Fear’s own energy. Zero inherited both of these powers from Fear.

Elemental Kinetic: Fear started his metaphysical power training when he began to subconsciously use a minor form of Pyro-Kinesis. From there, he practiced and developed his skills with his Pyro-kinesis until he had nearly mastered it. In time, Fear would being diving into the other forms of kinesis, practicing them, learning about them from the Reapers who had such knowledge, visiting the archives of magic. Within a surprisingly short amount of time, Fear had learned how to use multiple forms of kinesis on at least the most basic levels such as Hydro-Kinesis, Aero-Kinesis, and Geo-Kinesis. Over time, Fear would practice and train himself to get more adept with the kinetic powers he had developed. He even learned to integrate the Kinetic powers into his combat styles allowing (for example) a simple sword strike to carry an aero-kinetic blast from the blade. Zero was born with this power.

Accelerated Functions: Fear has extremely fast reflexes which are made possible by increasing the rate of mana flow within his body speeding up its motor functions and muscle movements. Zero gained this attribute from his father.

Mana Control: Fear has mastered the ability to use and utilize Mana, the purest form of energy and magic in abundance. Fear possesses the genetic trait that his mother carried, the ability to naturally regenerate mana. Fear constantly cycles his energy through his body to keep his energy free and ready to be used at a moment’s notice. By doing this, he creates a vortex of minor proportions that draws in the natural mana from the surrounding area and regenerates any mana that he has lost. This passive ability occurs constantly, even while Fear is asleep. Fear is able to use this mana to amplify or accelerate many of his other abilities. One such utilization is that Fear is able to rush his mana through his body to accelerate the natural functions and capacities allowing him to react and move 10 times faster than normal while still cycling his mana through his body to prevent drastic mana loss and fatigue from occurring. His son also gained this ability from Fear.

Sword Play styles honed after spending several thousand years in training allow for Fear to have incredible skill when wielding his blade or blades depending on the situation. These skills were passed on to his soul-born son.

[»] Iaido - Art of drawing and re-sheathing the sword while being able to strike or block an opponent or attack.

[»] Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu - Style of wielding two blades generally both are above the head and when in combat, they flow for one to attack while the other defends.

[»] Ono-ha Itto-ryu - Style of sword combat which generally uses a single powerful strike or cut to slay or defeat the target.

[»] Yagyu Shinkage-ryu - Flowing and minor movements using a longer and slimmer blade. Style is used more for disarming the target rather than killing them.

[»] Tamiya-ryu - Style based on using a sword with a longer hilt. The longer hilt gives the sword greater balance, stability, and power. Uses large, precise movements meant to draw the target's attention away from the foot movements to allow for the true strike to be performed.

Like his father, Zero uses a combination of the Tamiya-ryu, Yagyu Shinkage-ryu, and either Ono-ha Itto-ryu or Iaido styles for his general combat techniques with Balance. Since it is a long slender katana with a longer hilt.

-Based off of the concept of the soul elements of the Arkanous Reapers, this blade represents the element of Balance.

Churitsu no ejji is a blade of neutrality, the blade is basically a twin to the blade known as Demon's Bane, the katana of Churitsu no ejji is 6' long, the blade is 3" wide and 2cm thick. The hilt is 16" long and the blade has a core of Void Steel which is able to naturally draw in and absorb all forms of energy, the core of Void Steel is like a capsule of nothingness within accessible space, allowing energy to be trapped in the core and the core would not become damaged or overfilled by excess energies, while still being able to release the energy back out of the core by means of an exit function where the void shifts the energy into a planar disruption and releases it from the void space out from the core at the command of the wielder's thoughts and actions.

[12] Redemption - Shokan ochita - Fallen Redemption.

-Based off of the concept of the soul elements of the Arkanous Reapers, this blade represents the element of Redemption.

Shokan ochita is a katana with demonic energy that has been sealed within a blade of purity and thus, the energy becomes a mixture of both demonic and angelic, forming a weapon of ascension otherwise known by demons as the energy of Redemption. The katana is 3' long, 2" wide, 1 cm thick, and the hilt is 15" long. The energy of Redemption is much like pure willpower with the structure of both demonic and angelic qualities infused into it, the energy is fueled by the reaper and the willpower that would bring them to rise against their weaknesses and to be driven to overcome those weaknesses, turning them into strengths.

[»] Hand to Hand combat was a strictly practiced art for Fear during his training with the Reapers. Also honed after several thousand years of practice while in the alternate realms. (Gives actual reason as to why he was able to spend so much time learning and practicing since the realm time flow is significantly faster than that of the human realm.)
