Short Story: There isn't much of a background story, but from what can be told is she is a clone made by Kotsu in a attempt to get information of The Takashi Faction. Her DNA is Ashura's, that was attained after he was possessed under the spell of Maya. It took months for the body to reconstruct itself into a full female, but in the end it was a success. She was implanted with fake memories and memory lost to make her believe she was the long lost twin sister of Ashura Takashi. While Ashura was in 'The World In The Heavens' training Kotsu put Chigusa in their secret hideout, but time was scarce due to Ashura returning at any moment and finding Chigusa. Ashura knows he doesn't have a twin sister and when he found out, he was hard and a bit cold to her, when confronting Chigusa with questions on how she survived she couldn't answer due to her "memory lost". There was a chip inside the part of the brain on which the brain remember certain things that when asked a question it would trigger a electric shock in her head, simulating Post Memory Lost. Soon after Kotsu came with Ishida's lover Ai held hostage he told the Faction about Chigusa and tried to kill her since she was no longer needed, but was stopped by Ishida. Chigusa stunned and confused she willing still accepted Ashura as her twin brother, Clone or not they have the same DNA thus making twin brother and sister. Since she was a "Spy" even when she didn't know that she was, they watched through her eyes on which Gabriel removed along with the chip and took up arms and joined The Takashi Faction for revenge. Rose Hatake was the first person to meet Chigusa, lost and believing she was searching for her brother since the fall of The Takashi Clan, Rose treated her as a friend. Chigusa was selfish, cold, with an Australian accent but opened up and bonded on why Rose did what she did is still unknown. Was it because Chigusa reminded Rose of her lover Ashura? Was it just to make a friend that wouldn't hate her at some point? Only Rose can tell.
