A story has no beginning or end; arbitrarily one chooses that moment of experience
from which to look back or from which to look ahead. -Graham Greene
Greetings Gaians and welcome to my second ever writing contest. If you haven't brushed up on your Greek in a while, alpha and omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, and I've chosen that title because it's very much in line with what you'll be doing. You will write a story that begins and ends in the same way. This does not necessarily mean that the first and last lines of your story must be identical, rather the last line must contain some element that relates back to the first, bringing the story full circle. Sounds fun, no?
