Those that wanted a response and had the ability to contact you are more than likely going to use that medium to get this dealt with. You are not giving answers, you are trying to distract from the topic at hand by throwing out the whole, "hiring new people" and "RL custom slots" as a perk to those who possible are getting hired. As a side note, since you take on RL customs, or Cash only customs, that does mean that your paying customers are allowed to contact you via Real Life means. Even those who spend gaia gold should be allowed to contact you. If you really wanted it to stay private, then don't give it out to customers. You're embarrassed over what people are saying, on your facebook because you have work contacts on your friends list. You're not embarrassed that your actions caused those posts to be made? Caused the uproar in thread that has been going on for five days now?
It has been stated, dozens if not hundreds of times, that as far as ANY and ALL customers and staff knew you were the only one allowed to make cash off of Leelakin's artwork. A stipulation from the original lineartist. And now you are thinking of breaking that particular contract? Yes you own the line art, you paid for it. 5k from what you said. However, you have stated numerous times that no one but you was allowed to do RL customs. It is nearly a creed that is sworn by in the thread. And in light of the current situation, you're rescinding something that has been pretty much written in stone, when much of your staff has resigned because of your handling of the situation. And now via thread, you have stated, in contrast to what was written before that you can do whatever you want with lineart. That is...puzzling at best with the rote from before.
Also what troubles me, is that if you have read over the thread, why the glossing over of a rather valid and poignant post I made. Which found the root of all this dissension and, forgive the terming but it seems applicable, stupidity.

Granted this is all a personal opinion, and nothing more than that. From a customer, who is concerned for the goings on. If my tone appears accusatory that is not my intention, I am stating what I have seen from your posts in thread, reading for hours on occasion, and in the end merely trying to find out in some ways via reasonable and private means exactly what happened, and why for all intents and purposes you seem to have well, blown up on the whole shop after a minor miscommunication.

So I wandered off to other shops and come back to find soquili in a state that makes this gif very applicable to my reaction to the whole debacle.
The next part is spoilered for those who do not wish to read a long winded and very much personal opinon on what happened. (though really I think it should be read given everything I went looking for.)
However this does not mean I did not wade through several hundred posts to see what all happened, not only in a three day span, but also to see where this might have started. I am an ever resourceful post stalker and what I have found is two posts a little over a month ago that to me the start of this whole mess.

Those posts right there are the start of a miscommunication, I'm pretty sure most of you have gone snooping, figuring out what happened, but this wasn't posted, and it is the root of the explosion that I can see. I can fully understand that with what happened, Sirenz was frustrated and did not handle herself very well in the situation, background factors contributed greatly to the nature of her response. Was it right? Not really. As a friend of mine states often, understandable, not excusable. She was well within her rights with all her decisions, as owner of the shop, as well as the owner of the lineart. Do I agree with how this was handled? Oh heavens no. But not everyone can keep a cool head, nor do they think before they act. It happens we are only human.
That being said, I think that mind reacted very cordially, as did Mal, trying to find a way to communicate even when communication was difficult. Perhaps there was a point in time where they could have better gotten in communication with Sirenz about mule changes and the like. However, the real issue that came up with this whole mudslinging on Sirenz side is that she escalated from being upset about pets that were gifted being removed, to taking the shop back and requiring a resignation from mind and possibly Mal as well. (or she might have been outright removed, not sure, so jury is still out on that one.)
Sirenz half hearted apology and seeming, as with most people's reactions I've read, bribery towards possible new colorists...bad timing, and bad idea. Perhaps a few months down the line after things had settled, and everything had gotten back in line, introducing the new possibility of RL customs for those that are not Sirenz, might have worked out better, but within three days of losing a huge part of the staff and customer base it was just a bad idea.
granted these are all opinions of someone who tends to stay far outside of the soquili inner cliques. And that's kind of what they are at this point from what I've seen, cliques.
At any rate, those two post links there are my biggest point in all this. Sirenz was quoted with that, I don't know if she missed it or if she chose to ignore it, but her next post on gaia was not until the 22nd of July and there was no one else's response to that quote either. Perhaps it got lost, but I have my doubts that no one else noticed it.
Anyway, on that note, I will flee back to lurkage to see how the rest of this pans out.
