My stories.. the product of a vivid imagination and boredom. with very inspirational music and friends
You saw only a glimpse of her, and it weren't a true glimpse.
It was a feeling out of the corner of your eye, something you weren't sure you even saw.

You saw every detail of her clothing and the ink upon her body, but not the story behind them.
Though she smirked with rose hued lips, the smile did nothing to cover the pain in her eyes.

The carefully applied make-up covered the weeks she had gone with no sleep, and little food. The gauntness of her bones was cleverly concealed by a shimmering rainbow aura, one placed carefully to hide her from prying eyes. Average human eyes, yes she was concealed, but you saw little things like this all the time, and contributed it to flights of fancy, or figments of your own imagination.
The shining silver ink, seemingly pulsating under her skin, was penned there. She knows the ink as pain, writhing snakes that convulse in time with her quickened heart beat, stopping her from even believing for a second that she could escape her fate. The ink was, and still is, an initiation rite. But she hasn't seen any of her own kind without the ink, nor without the covered pain in their softly glowing eyes.

The sterling wreath that was alighted upon her head shows her status, and not a lowly one either, no, for she is the second in line. Second- in- line for a promotion, or public degradation for not fulfilling her birth-born duty.

Her wings, though hers by birth right and her status as first-born, only give a spare moments joy before they are individually weighted with enough powder of concealment and flight for a single evenings journey. Its never enough to get very far either, never mind enough to escape- had the thought would ever cross her purposefully blank mind.

The feather-light scythe that shimmers in and out of view of her slender hands is stained with centuries of blood. -And not all human blood either, errant fairies of her own kind, the wild rogue dwarves that trespass her peoples home in an enchanted wood, and even with the animals sacrificed to their own mysterious gods. The same aura that hides her from view also obscures the stains on the blade.

The only question now is, now that you've seen her, is she coming for you?
