Last night I went to the concert at the 9:30 club. I didn't know exactly what to expect since I've never been there before, or any club for that matter. The opening bad was a guy with a ukulele singing such lovely hawaiian styled songs of love with sarcasm.
Some song titles include:
My Favorite Place to Drown
Boring Island
Drink some saltwater
Then They Might Be Giants came on xd with an hour and a half of there good ol' hits and a couple of rockin new ones. There was also an imaginary intervention for the song "Drink" where the audience had to pump their left fist in the air and yell "No Wait". They've played other tunes too like, "Alphabet of Nations", "Experimental Film", "Bangs", "Instanbul and Constantinople" and more.
Ah yes "Instanbul and Constantinople" it was the song that David and I sung during our Art History class and our professor was like "that's right". It was then that I learned that it was They Might Be Giants that song it and that David was a big fan. But back then I didn't much about them nor did I know of their other songs until I road in David's car the first time with the song "Bangs" playing. Ah yes good times , good times 3nodding
