⊹ 《9TH FEB》 Kiaravell watched as the delicate light of the moon was replaced with shining sunlight. Saw colour invading the dark of night. A new day. Quickly, as quietly as she could, the Imperium made her way out of the Residence. The town where she'd spent most of her time in recently was several days on foot. Far too long. Two days, if she were to use her wings. A strain on her back and a waste of time. An instant, if she were to use a portal. However, those were being monitored by the council. But no matter. She had Errovell.
"How are you today, my beautiful beast?" The obsidian-haired maiden was ran her hands over the Garaghi's body. He was as dark as her hair, with both feather and scale hide. His eyes were a clear white that reflected the colours of anything he was looking at. In this case, her own sapphire irises. A beautiful beast, indeed. "Fancy a trip away from this prison? Just don't eat anyone again." Kiaravell mounted him, holding on firmly as Errovell took flight.
When they arrived at their destination, familiar faces were abundant. Tzaz, Demetri, Mally, Mamoru, Baku, Lesty, Archer. Even Rak had turned up. As expected, the day was quite... eventful. With Baku dancing as though possessed and Errovell having swallowed him whole (she made him spit Baku out, of course). There was also Oni's sudden appearance. The latter was someone she hadn't seen for quite some time now. He hadn't changed at all, aside from his appearance. "Don't be a stranger." He said. Kiaravell didn't know if that was possible with her new life ahead of her. He'd given her a hug as he left, which, sadly, had reopened some of her wounds. But they were nothing a quick change of bandaging couldn't fix. Kiaravell did feel bad for having worried dearest Mally, though. They seemed to notice her lackluster, too. Soon enough, they all went their separate ways.
Just as the Imperium thought that everyone had left, Jethryn and his band of misfits showed up. Now, that was a pain. The men had mostly just insulted poor Errovell (who Kiaravell promised could eat the lot of them next time) and tried getting her into a pink, frilly ballgown. Kiaravell set it on fire. And then, she did the same to Jethryn's pants. "Still so unladylike." Jet had said (earning him another round of burning) and Kiaravell scoffed. She knew very well that there'd be no end to his teasing if he ever caught her doing official Imperium business.
Kiaravell had spent a good four hours among her friends. It was early noon by the time she was back at the Residence, where she ignored everything that Xorren said upon her arrival.
"I know you worry," she finally told him. "But I wouldn't have survived over six hundred years in the outside world, most of it alone, if I were weak." At that, Xorren deflated. "I appreciate you trying to carry out your duty as my Household member." Kiaravell softened. "But as a friend, I'm asking that you let me enjoy what little time I have to spend beyond these walls while I still can."
It was a while before Xorren replied. "I understand." As Kiaravell retreated back to her room, he added, "Asking as a friend, would it be possible for you to let your House accompany you on your next excursion?"
Kiaravell sighed.
