Internal Battle
For those who don't know me,
may think my mind is stuck in a tree.
A heart full of stone.
A soul unknown.
But, the numerous battles never end.
Physically, I am "fine."
Mentally, I whine.
The bullets spray everywhere
as my ribs rattle like creaky, wooden floorboards.
Losing control
while war cries unfold.
The tanks rolling.
The smoke growing.
Suffocating inside.
I am the grenade that resides.
