Well-Rounded Wreath
How beautiful.
So lush.
It calls to me.
The way it hangs.
The way it dances
and sways as the winter breeze blows.
Snow gently flows
and caress the wreath
as if praising its mark.
The wreath shines.
It is very fine.
I hear the calls of a lark.
A single strand.
One lonely stand.
My time has come.
Coaxing the wreath to come closer.
I wrap my arms around it.
Inhaling the scent of fresh snow
as the wreath shows a beautiful glow.
Wrapping it around my neck and
checking to see if it fits.
I inhale and take take my final hit
of my Mary Jane.
As my wreath looks quite tame,
I end this residing flame.
-Snow that flutters down like feathers
