Would you like some cheese with your whine cheese_whine ?

Good lord. What is wrong with you people? In the famous words of Moira, "Don't be such a drama llama." dramallama

This happened last time with the old layout too. Every one got all upset because the layout was too "confusing" and "slow" but about a month later, everyone settled down and were fine with it. Now with this update, everyone is freaking out again. Have you people learned nothing? Things change, they don't always stay the same. Get used to it, whiners. This may seem like I'm bitching and moaning as well, but everyone has to vent, and I understand that. I just wish that you fellow Gaians would at least be polite to the creators and hardworkers of Gaia who give you this website to meet people and have fun. And I emphasize those last few words, "Meet people and have fun." Is there anything in there about groaning and complaining? I think not. Now get over your ego-trips and pull your heads out of your asses. I've seen multiple threads in the GCD about how "childish" this new layout is. If anything, YOU are being childish. It doesn't matter how "professional" your thread or petition looks, you're still acting like a baby who want a toy that they can't have.

I admit that there's a few things that don't please me about this layout, but what can I do? Beggars can't be choosers. I must say that the huge splash of white scared me at first, but I don't understand how "it burns people's eyes." Have you people used Microsoft Word lately? The navigation bar at the top is no longer using Flash! Which I think is a good thing for people who have slow computers where it never used to work properly in the first place. But this new navigation bar is a little bit irritating because of the multiple clicking that's required, but it's a mouse. They have buttons for a reason. To click on things and go somewhere. Get over it. There's also the uberly squashed-ness of my avatar in the corner. I miss seeing my avatar in full-fledged pixels, but I'm guessing, because of the extra white space below it, that will probably be fixed sooner or later. There's also the lack of text colour change in the forums for a thread that I've already been to. That's kind of annoying, but that's what the little "Post" icons are for next to the thread title I guess.

I really love the new notification icons, they're really noticible! I also like the new orange GaiaOnline logo. It contrasts nicely to the blue that has been used for the navigation bar and outlines and stuff. But what I really adore are the new emoticons! They're so awesome. Especially wahmbulance ~ That one's my favourite. Oh yeah, I was noticing yesterday that Gold Gain was a lot quicker than usual; and it's not because I was selling stuff in My Store. I felt that like everytime I went to a different page I had gained like 3-5 Gold. Or maybe I was just seeing things. I dunno. I'm really excited to see the new Profiles and Towns updates!

Anyways, I should go and prepare some more for my World Religions exam I have this afternoon! So quitchyerbitchin' everyone and get used to it.
