• Techniques coming into a [Collision] with the opposing element is treated as being [1-Rank] weaker for determining the winner in the [Collision].

___D e s c r i p t i v e s
Location:Zatsugaku :: Misc. Knowledge
• Descriptives only apply to Bukijutsu and Taijutsu
• [Strength] is Countered by [Fortitude]
• [Speed] is Countered by [Reflex]

Combat Example:
Bill uses a physical technique at [C]-rank. He has [12] Strength Descriptives The Strength of Bill's technique is now [A]-rank in Strength but remains [C]-rank in speed. Jim may respond accordingly to Bills attack. He can do the following.
•Bill may use [Evasion] using an evasive technique of [C]-rank or higher to successfully evade Jims technique as its speed is still only [C]-rank
•Jim may take the hit or block. In this case. Jim receives damage equal to [The Strength of Bill's Attack] minus [Jim's Fortitude] for every [6] descriptives Jim has he reduces the strength of Bill's attack for determining damage by [1-rank]
•Jim may match attacks with Bill. [Bills Strength&Speed Descriptives] vs [Jims Strength&Speed Descriptives]

How to Calculate Interactions:
•[Blocking&Damage] Attackers [Strength] Descriptive vs Opponents [Fortitude] Descriptive
•[Evasion] Attackers [Speed] Descriptive vs Opponents [Reflex] Descriptive

Example:
Bill Attacks Jim with a [C-rank] attack
Descriptives
•[Bill]
+12 [Strength]
+6 [Speed]
•[Jim]
+6 [Fortitude]
+12 [Reflex]

[Blocking&Damage]
12 Attackers [Strength] - [6] Enemy [Fortitude] = Total Rank of Bills attack = [D-rank] for the purpose of [Blocking&Damage]

[Evasion]
6 Attackers [Speed] - 12 Enemy [Reflex] = Total Rank of Bills attack if Jim were evading [E-rank]

•[Simple] techniques are to be treated as being [1-rank] weaker than [Complex] techniques in [Collisions]
•[Complex] techniques are to be treated as [1-rank] stronger than [Simple] techniques in Collision
•[Complex] techniques are to be treated as [1-rank] weaker than [Spiritual] techniques
