...I see my friend get a promotion that i worked hard for. I try to be happy for them and wish them luck on their venture.
....I see my other friend get engaged to her boyfriend and wish that i was with someone who loved me that much to get down on one knee and tell me how much they love me and want to be with me.
It's so hard to be happy for someone else when they're doing everything that you wanted to do.
Is that selfish?

Everyone deserves happiness in their life. A "fairytale" of their own.
Sometimes, one wishes something and it will never happen. It's a beautiful dream, a fond memory, but you either have to accept what you have and be happy or seek out that happiness that you so deserve.
