Well, it seems that I only update this series every other month, so here we goooo...

Elizabeth (Liz) - Ascended to the throne at the young age of 21, Liz is now the current ruling queen of the Strings Kingdom. Though desperate to prove herself and live up to the traditions of her role, she seeks to be known as the 'Benevolent Queen', and has pushed towards making sure her citizens are happy as they are obedient. Her empathy towards the commonfolk is often hinted at her childhood lover, who was once from a poor village of Cello. She has good intentions, but is not particularly fitted nor is as capable of running the kingdom as her predecessors, and instead is "puppeted" by Ida and Violet. There are also rumors of her falling to the infamous Crown's curse, as she beings to spiral into insanity after the death of her lover.

Violet - Raised as an aristocrat in the County of Violin, Violet often lives in the shadows of her less clumsy and more confident peers. She had been groomed and pressured to befriend Elizabeth by her mother, who formerly held a seat in the Ruling Quartet, such that she can ascend to such a position when Liz takes the throne. She is nervous creature, comparable to a mouse, and is easily manipulated. She is not the smartest, and relies heavily on Ida to navigate the Upper Strings' social circles.

Ida - The daughter of a former scholar and Ruling Quartet member, Ida was born in Viola but raised in Rosin among the aristocrat circles. She is proud of her intelligence, as many people of her County are, and was well known for being familiar with all governing laws in within and beyond the Kingdom. Her skills, in addition to having Liz' back countless times in their childhood, have easily secured her seat in Liz' RQ. Ida is often described as emotionless or cold, but her tough persona is one she has been taught to portray within the Upper Strings.

Ramona - Born and raised in the County of Cello, Ramona aimed to become a teacher or a healthcare worker in order to help the poor commonfolk in her County. She is selfless, kind, and good with people. Ramona met Liz during an early Queen's tour when Liz was still a princess. They immediately became friends, and once Liz took the throne, Liz proposed to Ramona and offered her a seat on the Ruling Quartet. Ramona became the first 'commoner' to be wed to a Ruling Queen, and represented a voice for the people in the Upper Strings circles. (However, as mentioned before, she dies very early on in the story)

Julien - Once just a talented solider in the Strings Army, Julien is one of the first men to have ever been appointed to the Ruling Quartet. Despite the general disagreements with his position due to the Kingdom's matriarchal history, he takes his role of leading the Strings Army and managing the Kingdom's relations with the other Sections very seriously.
